a/n - Hey everyone! Sorry for there not being very many updates! I ran out of ideas... But this one I randomly came up with just for fun.

This one isn't necessarily a 'Doctor's daughter' story, but more like a 'takes you under his wing' story. I mostly put it here because I couldn't think of anywhere else to put it. Sorry if it's a little bit of junk. It's currently 2-ish in the morning for me when I first thought of this.

In this, you are a stray cat that the Doctor finds. Sorry if he is a little ooc. Hope you enjoy!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(f/c) - fur color

(l/f/c/n) - least favorite cat name

(s/l/f/c/n) - second least favorite cat name

(f/c/n) - favorite cat name

It was currently raining as the Doctor was walking back to his TARDIS. As he got closer he couldn't help but hear soft meowing nearby. He followed the sound to a young (f/c) cat calling out for food, and possibly even warmth and shelter from the rain. The Doctor felt sorry for the poor feline and gently picked her up, holding her close and wrapping his tweed jacket around her in hopes to warm her up.

"Don't worry, little one. I'll take care of you."

Once the Doctor got inside the TARDIS, he carefully set the cat down then went to the kitchen to find some food. He soon came back with a small plate with various foods that were safe for cats to eat. The cat didn't hesitate as she dug into the food, having not eaten in days and as a result scarfing it down as if it was the last meal she would ever get. The Doctor smiled gently as he watched her.

"There's no need to rush. I'm not going to take it away from you, and there's plenty more where that came from if you're still hungry."

The cat slowed down some, but still ate rather quickly due to being extremely hungry. After a little bit, the cat finished up and looked up at the Doctor with a meow.

"You are very welcome my dear. Would you like some more?"

"Meow."

"No? Alright. Just let me know if you change your mind. Now then. How about I give you a name?"

The cat sat down and looked up at the Doctor with curiosity.

"How about (l/f/c/n)"

The cat hissed in response.

"Alright. Well then, what about (s/l/f/c/n)"

The cat just moaned.

The list of names went on and on until finally he struck gold.

"How does (f/c/n) sound?"

The cat sat back, wagging her tail happily. The Doctor slowly knelt to her height.

"You seemed to like that one. Alright."

He smiled at her as he held out his hand.

"Come here, (f/c/n)"

She went straight to him, rubbing against his hand and purring as he pet her.

Extended ending:

A figure appeared into the TARDIS in a puff of electricity and smoke. She looked around and could hear a voice as it came her way.

"Well, (f/c/n). While I do agree with you that having cats around are very handy for catching mice, I'm not so sure if I can agree that the mice are good for eating."

The figure smiled to herself as she saw the Doctor talking to a young feline.

"Well look what the cat dragged in."

The Doctor looked up at the new voice, smiling at who it was, but grimacing slightly at what she had said.

"River."

"Hello sweetie."

The Doctor turned to (f/c/n).

"(f/c/n), meet Doctor River Song."

The cat wagged her tail in hello.

"You know, Doctor, I don't think I've ever seen you this talkative. Normally I'd say 'What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?' But it seems more like you're letting the cat out of the bag. But you know what they say, 'curiosity killed the cat' so why bother asking at all?"

The Doctor just stared at her.

"You just said the word 'cat' three times in a row, and all in one statement."

River smiled.

"Yes, I know. Quite a meowthful, don't you think?"

(f/c/n) moaned, wondering if River was making fun of her with the cat puns.

River stretched slightly.

"Well, I'm beat. Time to go take a cat nap."

The Doctor nodded, ignoring the pun, as River walked away to the bedrooms.

"You do that. And make sure you don't get a furball as you sleep."

River looked behind her and playfully stuck out her tongue at him before disappearing into the hallway.

Well? How was that? I'm horrible at making puns, not to mention I'm sure that River was very ooc. Oh well. It was fun to wright nonetheless! For those who have seen the TV show Miraculous Ladybug, I can only hope that Cat Noir is happy with what I wrote.
