It was just a normal day on the TARDIS. The Doctor was under the glass floors, in the control room, fixing some wires, and such. Little 6 year old (y/n) was wandering the hallways, feeling kinda bored. She wandered back to the control room, wondering where the Doctor was. She eventually found that he was under the control panel, and decided to maybe try and surprise him. So, (y/n) crept forward, her tiny hands barely making a sound on the glass floor, till she was just above him, all the while undetected by the man below. She then held on to the edge of the flooring and hung upside down.
"Boo!"
She hoped that she had managed to surprise him. The man in question had, in fact jumped, looking around for the mischievous child, and found her, looking at him with a huge grin on her face. He smirked, as he stood up, and walked toward her.
"(y/n). What are you doing?"Booping her on the nose in the process, earning a small giggle from the little child in question.
"I was getting bored and was wondering if we could do something like go on an adventure or, oh! I know! Let's play a game!"
"What kind of game?"
"How about... Hide and seek!" "Alright. We haven't played that game in a while!"
"OK, so you count, and I'll hide!"
(y/n) then lifted her head back to the above floor, as the Doctor started to cover his eyes to count.
"Alright, I'll count to to 20, and you've got till then to hide. Ready?"
"Yep!"
"OK then. 1, 2, 3, 4..."
(y/n) squealed in excitement then ran off to find a good hiding place, her small feet making slight pitter patter sounds as she ran.
"... 18, 19, 20! Ready or not here I come!"
The Doctor made his way up the stairs, looking around for his little girl, smiling the whole time.
"Now where is she?" 'If I were (y/n) where would I hide?'
The Doctor looked all around the control room for (y/n) but couldn't seem to find her.
'She's always been good at hiding, I'll give her that, but she knows that I'll never give up till I've found her!'
(y/n) was looking out from her hiding spot, watching as her father walked around the room, looking for her.
'He'll never find me here!'
She got so excited that she giggled a little, alerting the Doctor, slightly, of her presence.
"(y/n)?"
He walked a little toward the direction of where he thought he heard her giggle.
"(y/n)? Where are you sweetheart?" (said in a singsong-y voice)
(y/n) watched as the Doctor inched closer and closer to where she was. Then she looked away for just a moment, and when she looked back he was gone.
'Where'd he go?'
Then a rather large and strong pair of hands reached out, and grabbed her by the waist.
"Gotcha!"
(y/n) yelped out of surprise and tried to squirm out of her captor's grasp, but she wasn't strong or quick enough, for next thing she knew she was lifted off the ground and held up in the air by a tall bow-tie wearing alien, looking up at her with a big smile on his face. Then his smile only grew as he started to fiendishly tickle her. She, of course, squirmed even more, trying to resist laughing, as to not show weakness to this 'monster' who has captured her. After a bit, though, (y/n) couldn't hold back the laughter any longer and she finally succumbed to the wills of the alien holding her. The alien in question started to laugh with her, out of amusement in her attempts to escape. Eventually the laughter died down, and the Doctor brought (y/n) close to his body, walking out of the room to take her to bed, to which she responded by snuggling into his chest, listening to his hearts beat in perfect rhythm, his tweed jacket almost completely covering her, like a blanket.
"(y/n)?"
"Hm?"
"I hope you know that, no matter what, I will always find you. Even if you're taken to the end of the universe, I will come get you."
All (y/n) managed to do was nod, as she was getting tired, from playing, and having the comfort and warmth of her father's arms wrapped around her and holding her close. When the Doctor got to her bedroom, (y/n) was already asleep, so he carefully placed her down on the bed, but when he tried to leave, she stirred and grabbed onto his jacket, as if asking him not to leave. He smiled to himself, then took off his shoes and slid under the covers, next to (y/n), wrapping a protective arm around her, and holding her close.
