The TARDIS was on earth, after one of the Doctor and (y/n)'s many adventures. (y/n) was taking a nap in her bedroom, while the Doctor was fixing wires and such. *boom!*
'Hm. Must be storming outside. Hope the lightning doesn't strike the TARDIS.'
In the distance the Doctor could hear a small whimper, coming from down the hall, whenever the thunder would roll.
'That sounds like (y/n). I hope she's alright.'
So, the Doctor got up and quietly walked to (y/n)'s room, and knocked on the door.
"(y/n)? Are you OK?"
The thunder rolled again, and
(y/n) let out another whimper. The Doctor quietly opened her bedroom door, and peaked in. He found her completely covered by her blankets, curled up in a tight ball. He slowly walked over to her bedside, hoping to help calm her down. He carefully sat down on the bed, placing a hand on her back, to attempt to try to get (y/n) out from under the covers. All he got as a response was a slight jump, and he could feel her shivering, probably out of fear. The Doctor then knelt down on the carpet, and slowly uncovered (y/n) a little bit so he could see her small, adorable face. He could see that, from the looks of it, she had been crying. Seeing (y/n)'s face looking scared and hurt was breaking his hearts, so he carefully wrapped his hands around her waist, lifting her up, and bringing her close to his body, siting down on the bed again. She then buried her face into his chest, still crying a little bit.
"Sh. It's alright."
He started stroking circles on her back, to help calm her down.
"It's gonna be alright. I'm right here. Nothing can harm you now."
After a bit (y/n) calmed down, mostly letting out shaky breaths.
The Doctor heard her breathing slow down, and when he checked on her, he found she had fallen asleep. He then leaned back, against the pillows on the bed, with (y/n) curled up on his chest. He soon found himself falling asleep, with one arm wrapped around her.
