Masking The Hurt

I am masking the hurt

that you caused

the day you betrayed me.

A smile may come across

my face when your name

is mentioned.

But it's not real.

I just don't want

the truth to be known.

Not known to you,

or anyone else,

is how I will keep it.

Whenever you see me,

just remember that the smile you see.

Is covering up

all the hurt you brought to me.
