There are times
when you realize
that sometimes
it's just not worth
fighting for.
When someone you
thought you knew well,
turns out to be
someone you don't know at all.
Thought nothing
could ruin the friendship
that we had.
Then one day
it was you who turned on me
and forgot all
that I did for you.
But no actions
or words from
you could ever
break me down.
Not fighting to save
what I once thought was there.
Because you made the
decision so easy
the day you decided to throw
my feelings aside.
Though memories
come back every now and then,
and may bring tears to my eyes,
I am glad that I was the one to say goodbye.
