I nipped at his ear and licked it again, just to be annoying.

I felt his breath hot on my neck and the tip of his tongue barely almost touch my neck.

But then, I woke up.

What a disappointment.

It was eight in the morning and my phone was already ringing. It was Alfred. Confused, I answered it.

"Hello? What is happening this early that an American is awake?", I said.

"Yeah, so I called people yesterday to get the leak fixed, 'cause its super annoying. They said I couldn't be here when they fixed it, and that I should probably stay with a friend or something. So that's why I'm calling you. I have nowhere to stay, basically."

I thought about it- not- and answered, "Sure, we have plenty of rooms from when my brothers used to live here. My dad probably won't care."

"M'kay, Artie, be over in like, 15. 'Cause they'll be here soon, so I gotta be out of here by then."

"See you then."

"Mhm, bye."

He sounded really tired. I hung up and did another girly spin in my room. I took less than ten minutes to shower and less than five to put on shorts, a shirt, and brush my hair. But brushing my hair didn't matter, because it never did what I wanted anyway.

The doorbell rang and I skittered to the door, almost missing it in my hurry. I opened the door and Alfred was there with a small bag. I gestured inside with my arm and he walked in, not looking at my face, as usual. Sadly, I was used to it.

We went to the cafe to eat breakfast, and I chatted with Eliza at the cash register about Alfred when he sat down.

"You sure he's a guy, though, right?", she chuckled lastly. Everyone knew about her gender incident when she was young, before she grew breasts. I laughed a little. "Yes, Eliza, I'm sure." I went to sit down, leaving her in good spirits. I sat across from Alfred and started to sip my tea.

Even though I was used to it, the whole avoiding my eyes thing still got me where it hurt. I was about to open my mouth and say something, but Alfred spoke first.

"Why'd you do that Arthur?"

"What?"

"Yesterday. Not that I hated it, really. It just confused me a little."

"What did?"

"You know."

"Not really."

"When you...", he whispered the next part, "when you licked my ear."

I blushed a little, even though I knew he was going to say that.

"Oh, I don't know, I just did, I guess."

I have him the same answer he gave me when I asked him a question.
