The next morning you are assigned to your duties, it's not what you hoped for, going to collect firewood, but you're just happy you can help the other gladers out, as well as to keep your mind off of all the questions you have as to why you were put in the glade? and who it was who put you there?
You work your way through the woods looking for dry pieces of twigs and branches, brushing the leaves over the ground, when you come across a large wooden plank hidden under some debris. You clear off the plank and realise it's a secret door. You gently open the hatch, which reveal steps leading down to an underground passage, but it's too dark to see what's in there. You begin to head down there to inspect but hear Teresa calling your name "Y/N!"

You head back to the centre of the glade to see what Teresa needs "it's our turn to use the showers before dinner, it's the only time we won't be disturbed by the boys" she chuckles.

After dinner you go and sit on a log to view the night sky. Newt comes to join you "hey Y/N! What's up?"
"Nothing much just star gazing, it's really beautiful"
"Yeah it is" Newt replies staring at you, but you don't notice.
"Hey Newt what's with the creepy underground tunnel? You never mentioned that in your tour"
"What are you talking about?"
"In the woods? I found it when I was out collecting firewood"
"We've never come across any tunnel before" Newt looks concerned and calls over Thomas, Minho and Alby. He fills them in on the situation and they ask you to lead them to the tunnel.

When you get there Newt offers to go down there to check it out and You attempt to go with him, but he intervenes "It's okay darling I'll go alone"
You begin to protest but Newt cuts you off "I don't want you to get hurt love, plus I'm only having a short look, but if anything happens no one come down after me okay?"
You all nod your heads.
Newt was down there for several minutes, the anticipation of it making your heart beat out of your chest and then suddenly, you hear him scream...

Straightaway you rush down the stairs before any of the gladers can stop you, you can't help but have the desire to help him, it seems you have grown to really care for him. You rush down the tunnel and head straight to Newt who is laying on the ground "Newt! Oh my goodness are you okay honey?!"
He lifts himself onto his hands and knees "I'm fine, just tripped, but Y/N what are you doing here?! I told no one to come down!" He seems angry, causing a twinge in your stomach.
"I know but when I heard you scream I couldn't help myself, I wanted to save you...I couldn't help it because I like you!" You finish the last part of your confession hurriedly, afraid he may judge you and not feel the same. You lock eyes and see his disbelief. Too scared to hear his answer, you rush out of the tunnel and back to the centre of the glade. Tears begin streaming down your face from confusion and regret of what you've just done.
You hear everyone calling after you and remember what Teresa said about the only place to get privacy from the boys is in the shower room, so you rush straight there and jump in the shower with all of your clothes on to try and cool off.
You stand, leaning against the shower wall your lungs and heart burning uncontrollably, when you hear the door to the shower room open.
"Y/N" Newt gently calls out your name, "are you in here?"
"I'm in here, but please leave me alone for a while"
Newt storms across the room and flings open the shower door "Newt what are y..?" He cuts off your question as he pushes you against the wall, planting a loving but forceful kiss on your lips, you melt into him, automatically returning his lust filled kisses. He grabs ahold of your waist and pulls you into him and you return it by wrapping your arms around his neck, deepening the kiss. You drag your fingers through his hair, whilst he grinds his crotch against you, the hard lump in his trousers growing bigger and pulsating in desire each time you moan.
He looks back up at you and stares lovingly into your eyes "I love you Y/N"
Newt then turns away and walks out of the shower room, leaving your whole body heated with immense desire.
