After what felt like a lifetime, I got up off of the sand and slowly walked over to Daniel. He was still laying on the ground, clearly in a lot of pain, just like me. I grabbed his hand and helped him to get up, which was painful for both of us. Despite this, we needed to help each other to get home. We eventually reached the top of the stairs to the apartments and gave a huge sigh of relief.

Daniel walked me to my apartment, which luckily was next door to his apartment. Daniel turned to face me before I opened my door and said "Autumn, we can't tell our parents about this, or anyone else for that matter. That includes your brothers and sisters". I nodded to reassure him that I wouldn't tell any of my family members, and Daniel walked a few steps to his own apartment.

I slowly opened the door to find that Alfie was in the living room. Thankfully, everyone else had gone to bed since it was late. He turned to look at me, and his reaction even shocked me. He was usually so tough and I had never really seen him this upset before.

"What did you do Autumn? Who did this?" He began to question me, his voice trembling. He began to stand up from the sofa and walked towards me. I could hear the urgency in his voice, and it was so hard not to tell him what happened. I couldn't tell him because of the promise to Daniel, and I never break my promises. All I wanted to do was burst into tears and move back to New Jersey . It has only been my first day here, and I already want to leave. I knew it was a bad idea to move.

I couldn't break down in front of Alfie, but he could clearly see the fear in my eyes. I could feel my heart beating so fast, it was like a drum. A deep breath escapes from my mouth as I lied to Alfie.

"Don't worry Alfie, no one did anything to me. This was just an accident. Both me and Daniel were having a race and we were looking at each other so we couldn't actually see what was in front of us. There was a huge truck parked in our way, so we just ended up running into it and getting bruised. Honestly, why would you think that someone would do this to me?" I said all of this fairly quickly, and I looked into his eyes to try and show that I wasn't lying.

"Okay then. Go to bed, you have school in the morning. You don't want to be tired on your first day" Alfie replied, but I saw that he didn't believe me one bit. It was very hard to trick Alfie to think you're telling the truth when you're not.

I did as I was told, and walked over to my room. I had to walk to my room while gritting my teeth so that I didn't let out a large scream of pain. No matter what I did, it would hurt. Heck, it even hurt to breathe. When I eventually got to my room, which didn't actually take long but it felt like forever, I closed the door behind me.

I sat on my bed and I could feel pain surging through my body. I groaned and pulled the covers over me, not even bothering to get changed. All I wanted to do was forget that this day ever happened.

I mean, I loved the parts of the day that I spent having fun with Daniel, but those times were short lived. I just wish I didn't get involved in in the petty argument that Johnny and the other girl were having. If I didn't get involved, it would mean that Daniel would be unharmed as well as myself.

I could feel my eyelids getting heavier as I closed them and fell asleep straight away. I was out like a light. That very night, I had a very strange nightmare. I was falling into a deep hole which seemed to go on forever, but I could still see Daniel LaRusso looking down through the hole and I tried to reach him, but I was falling too far down.

I felt my stomach jolt as I woke up from having the nightmare, breathing heavily. It took me a few seconds to realize that it was only a dream and it wasn't real. I rolled over on my side and closed my eyes once again. This time, I was determined to get some proper sleep.

I tossed and turned until it was 4 o'clock in the morning. I would be getting up for school in three hours, and I didn't want to be tired on my first day. I breathed in through my nose and out through my mouth to try and make myself feel tired. It eventually worked and I could feel my eyes closing slowly.

Soon, I was back to sleep and this time I had no further disturbances for three hours. It felt better to have those few hours of more sleep; I felt like I needed it.
