I went into the living room where the door to the apartment stood. I opened it up, and the person standing opposite me was surprising...or should I say people. All four of my foster siblings were stood at the door, smiling at me warmly. I genuinely thought that they were coming tomorrow, but they had made a sudden appearance today. They had all stayed behind at the old house to pay the rest of the bills, and we had to check in at the apartment on this day, meaning that we all couldn't be at two places at one time. We had to split for a day. Sherry came to the door and greeted them all with a huge smile on her face.
My foster siblings all came inside and chose their rooms. The older ones got the bigger rooms, while the younger ones got the slightly smaller rooms. It all happened in a sort of blur; they were all so quick at getting the best pick of the rooms.
Piper ran up to me with excitement on her face. She was only four years old, and she always had a massive smile on her face. I pulled her into a warm hug. Her hair had beautiful curls in them which complimented her strawberry blonde hair perfectly. She had little dimples at the sides of her cheeks, and her presence would light up a room. We sat down on one of the sofas, still hugging tightly. At that moment, my twenty year old brother came into the room and sat next to me and Piper on the couch. He's called Alfie, and he's quite overprotective of all of us, especially me for some reason. Whenever I get myself in some sort of trouble, he's always on the scene. His caramel-colored hair had beach waves in it, as it usually did. He quite liked to give his hair a messy and beach look.
I noticed that Oliver came into the room where me and Piper were sat hugging. He was seventeen, much older than little old me. He was carrying Lila, my baby foster sister. Lila had a sweet pink bow in her hair, and had her tiny hand on Oliver's shoulder. We were all so thrilled when Lila had been introduced to the family, only two weeks ago. She was three weeks old now and we couldn't wait to take her home. Oliver ruffled my hair and sat down next to me and Piper. His dark brown hair was tangled and limped slightly. I flattened mine back down and pushed him playfully, grinning.
I kept looking at the door for which felt like minutes on end. I was sat wondering when Daniel would turn up and knock on my apartment door. He was only ten minutes late, but it wasn't a great first impression. Alfie noticed my glances towards the door, and began to ask, but his question was interrupted by a knock on the door. I got up almost instantly and walked towards it, excited to see my new friend once again. We didn't have the chance to get to know each other much when we were carrying the bags up to the apartment.
I opened the door and saw Daniel there, smiling at me. He was wearing a red jacket with a grey top and white jeans. I have to admit; the boy had style. His red shoes went perfectly with his jacket and it suited him well.
