Malia's POV

It's been a year since the Volturi came for me, a year since I almost lost my freedom. But it's been an amazing year. I'm officially dating Nicklaus Mikealson. We have been together for eight months now. I smiled at the thought of my handsome boyfriend. Oh, I still live with them as well. I decided that staying with them is best. I also let mom and dad back into my life. The situation I was put in wasn't ideal and especially not their fault. Ah, I also kept the name that mom and dad gave me. I never wanted to be Nova Cullen again. I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard my bedroom door open. I smiled when I saw Klaus standing against my door frame. "May I come in?"

I smiled more. "Of course."

Klaus gave me his million dollar smile and sat next to me on my bed, resting his hand on my thigh as he leaned in and kissed me. I smiled against his lips and happily returned the kiss on his soft lips. He looked me in the eyes and smiled. "You're truly something else Malia Rosette."

I lightly blushed and looked at him. "I know you are, Niklaus Mikealson."

Klaus grinned and kissed my cheek. "Love, I have to go take care of something today. Kol will be keeping you company."

I looked at Klaus, a pout forming on my lips. "I don't need a babysitter, especially not Kol."

Klaus sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "Love, lets both admit that you've been blood thirsty since the Cullen's rolled into town. You've been wanting to rip them apart for days now, with numerous attempts."

I growled lowly. "Well if they didn't test on me like a lab rat I wouldn't be so angry with them. Stupid fairies."

Klaus frowned and shook his head. "They are still your family, your blood. Have some respect."

I stood up and glared at Klaus. "Oh, really? Respect the monsters that put me through hell? You want me to respect them? Should I respect them the way you respected your father, Niklaus?"

I saw hurt flicker in Klaus' eyes as he opened his mouth to protest. I put my hand up in response and marched out of my room, going straight to the kitchen and grabbing a blood bag. I started drinking it when I heard Kol come in the room. "Ah, there you are Mal."

I cringed and glared at him. "You know I hate it when you call me that, Kol-Bear."

Kol growled. "And you know I don't like being called Kol-Bear."

I smirked. "Sorry, Kol-Bear."

Kol walked towards me growling, causing me to squeal. "Oh no! Don't hurt me you big bad monster!"

Kol growled louder and moved his head to the side, smiling wickedly. I squeaked and used my blood bag as defense, taking the cap off it and squirting it all over Kol. Kol growled again. "This is my new shirt!"

I laughed nervously. "Oops?"

Kol picked me up by the neck, cutting off my air supply. "You've made me awfully upset, Malia."

I growled lowly and struggled against Kol's hand. I kneed him in his area and then picked him up off the floor and threw him into the wall, making it break from the impact of his body. "And now you've made me upset, Kol."

Kol growled and got up, rushing towards me. I laughed and pushed him back and gave him my famous death glare. Kol growled but stopped in his tracks. "You're a real pain in my ass, you know that right?"

I smiled and flipped my hair off my shoulder. "I know I am. Maybe you learned your lesson not to mess with me again."

Just as Kol was about to say something we heard a growl. It wasn't a vampire growl though, this was pure wolf. I ran to the front door, Kol close behind. We stopped at the front door and listened to what was going on. "Just let me see her! She's my soulmate!"

I sighed and looked at the ground. I knew exactly who this was, Seth Clearwater. Kol noticed how tense I was and rested his hand on my shoulder, reassuringly. "Seth, we have a truce which you are currently breaking. You know what happens if the truce breaks, I won't be able to stop Malia."

Seth growled again. I rolled my eyes. It wasn't me he was worried about, it was his brothers. See, Elijah keeps the peace and keeps things in order but the second that things fall out of place and get chaotic, he sends his attack dogs to 'clean up the mess' if you know what I mean. Oh, his attack dogs are no other than Kol and Klaus. Imagine that, right? I sighed again and opened the door. "Elijah, leave the mutt alone. Seth, get off our property before I kick your ass."

Seth opened his mouth to protest but I put my hand up. "No Seth, this is not up for debate. You will leave and you'll leave now."

Seth frowned and shook his head, hurt coming through those brown eyes of his. "I was just coming to warn you about Niklaus."

I growled and sped in front of him. "I don't want to hear what you make up about Nik, you understand? You honestly think I'd believe anything that you say about him? All you do is lie, just like the Cullens."

Elijah stepped toward me, blocking my view of Seth. "Malia, you know he's lying. Let's just go inside and forget all of this, okay?"

I sighed but nodded. Elijah was the noble one, he'd never lie to me.
