Rebekah's POV
Seeing Malia like this broke me. It ate me up inside knowing that she was hurting so much and that there was nothing I could do to stop it. I couldn't just beat her problems away, I wish I could but I just can't. I sighed heavily as I looked at a sleeping Malia. I paced back and forth, waiting for Stefan to finish packing the car. Damon came upstairs and looked at me with sadness hinting in his eyes. "Rebekah, she'll be okay. She's strong, she's a fighter."
I gave him a small smile. "I know."
He grinned and picked up the last bag. "Let's get her to her new home. You have furniture hopefully?"
I smiled. "Yep! Bonnie, Caroline and I decorated it when I bought it. I knew Malia would choose the house so I went ahead and bought it beforehand."
Damon nodded his head. "Smart," he looked at me and smirked. "though what's not smart is decorating everything behind her back. She'll get upset."
I chuckled. "She's decorating our bedroom and her music room. I bought her a new guitar to add to the collection."
Damon groaned. "Oh, she'll love that."
I smiled. "You think so?"
Damon laughed and shook his head. "You really do spoil her, I should take a few pages out of your book."
I raised my eyebrows and smirked. "You can't play my game better than me."
Damon laughed. "True that."
I giggled and picked Malia up. She stirred in my arms, nuzzling her head in my chest while softly snoring. I looked down at her, admiring her sleeping form. "So beautiful." I whispered and kissed her forehead. She pouted in her sleep, whimpering lowly. I made my way to the car and set her in her seat, buckling her in. I went to my side and waved goodbye to Stefan and Damon.
They both had been reluctant to let Carlisle and Esme stay with them but they didn't really have a choice, especially with Rosalie and Emmett also coming. I looked over at my beautiful girlfriend and wondered how it always came to this. How her family, who hated her with every part of their being, can't let her go. We are always facing them in some kind of confrontation. Of course, they claim that their stay was innocent and that they were just here to help stop Seth. But something tells me that's not the whole story. I sighed and sat next to Malia. I wouldn't be sleeping anytime soon because of the pit in my stomach saying something back would happen, something like losing Malia. I couldn't bare the thought of losing my true love. Which made me come to realize, I need to tell her how I truly feel. I needed to let her know before he came and ruined everything for me. I was jilted out of my thoughts when there was a knock on my bedroom door. I went to open it to see Kol standing there. "Hey sister."
I felt my eyes watering, betraying me. I was suppose to be strong for Malia. I was thousands of years old but I still couldn't muster the strength I needed. I feel so weak, so vulnerable. I hugged Kol and let out a small cry. He held me and shut the door so I wouldn't wake Malia. "I can't do it, Kol. I can't lose her. That girl in there is my everything, my one true love."
Kohl's eyes saddened. "We'll keep her safe, Rebekah. We won't let Seth or any of those other 'vampires' get to her."
I cried more, whimpers escaping as I realized that Kol was wrong. "They already have gotten to Malia. She had a breakdown because of seeing Carlisle and Emse again. She can't face her demons yet, she's not ready for this."
Kol sighed heavily and took Rebekah to sit down. "Hey, Malia is strong. She's a fighter and I know for a fact that she'll be alright as long as you are by her side. I watch how you two interact with each other, it's nothing like I've ever seen before. She brings out the best in you, Rebekah and as long as I live, I'll fight for you and her. You're both important to me."
I gave Kol a small smile and laid my head on his shoulder. "Why can't I just be happy without there being any drama?"
Kol chuckled. "You wouldn't be Rebekah Mikaelson without some drama in your life, sister."
Klaus walked up to us, sighing. "What is this a pity party? Mikaelsons don't have pity parties."
I chuckled a little bit and hugged my big brother. "I'm just scared of how things will turn out, that's all."
Klaus raised his eyebrow. "Scared of how it will turn out or scared you won't get to come home to her?"
I looked at the floor and mumbled. "Both."
Klaus looked at me, sadness glistening in his eyes. "We'll make sure that you come home to her, you have my word."
I gave Klaus a small smile. "We'll someone needs to stay here while I go visit with Carlisle and Esme."
Klaus looked towards Kol. "She likes you the second best."
Kol nodded and smiled. "I'll happily watch over her. Davina is on her way so it'll be good for them to meet, yeah?"
I smiled at Kol. "Yeah."
He grinned and jogged upstairs. Niklaus, Elijah and I were going to talk to Carlisle and Esme to see what Seth's plan was and I had a personal vendetta to see what the bloody hell his problem was earlier when he saw me and Malia kissing. I know he is old fashioned, but there is no reason to give us dirty looks like that. I lowly growled as I saw there were more cars parked in the driveway of the Salvatore house. No doubt was it Rosalie and Emmett and whatever little demons they brought with them. Niklaus looked at me, placing his hand on top of mine. "Remember sister, keep a cool head but don't put your guard down for one second."
I nodded my head and all three of us got out of the car. We walked up to the door and knocked. I expected for Damon or Stefan to get it but once I saw who it was, I growled and looked him dead in the eyes.
