Malia's POV
I sighed and plopped on my bed, waiting for Rebekah to walk through the door. I wasn't a very patient person when it came to things like this. I pouted and checked to see no messaged on my phone. I slid it back into my pocket and walked downstairs. "Stefan, Damon, I'm bored."
Damon turned the corner and grinned at me. "Then go out and have some fun, kid."
I frowned and threw myself at him. "Ah, I just can't. Not without my Rebekah."
Damon caught me and rolled his eyes, holding me princess style. "We need to talk about you and Rebekah."
I looked at him and frowned, jumping out of his arms. "What do you mean?"
Damon made a weird face as if he was thinking about what he had wanted to say so the wrong things weren't said. "Look, I don't want you getting hurt, it's the last thing that I want. But, the Mikaelsons cause nothing but hurt and death."
I frowned. "You're wrong, Rebekah has changed."
Damon shook his head and leaned against the doorframe. "Just watch yourself, little sister. I don't want you getting hurt again."
I nodded and hugged Damon, promising to tell him if anything bad happens. I pulled away from him and smiled. "I can't wait to move in with her, with it being just us."
Damon wiggled his eyebrows and smirked. Just as he was about to say something, we heard a growl from outside. I rushed to the window and saw Rebekah growling at someone in a car. I opened the front door and ran to Rebekah's side. I grabbed her hand and looked in the car, I froze when I saw who was there. Rebekah looked at me, worried. She squeezed my hand and kept calling my name but I was stuck. I was in complete and total shock. Rebekah began pleading for me to look at her but I just couldn't move. Memories from my past began flashing in front of me. I was back in Carlisle's office, getting poked and prodded with needles. I yelped and held my arm. I could hear Rebekah screaming my name but I just, I couldn't respond. Why was he here? What did he possibly want this time? Rebekah began shaking my shoulders and I cried. "Please, don't hurt me."
That was the last straw, Rebekah grabbed me and kissed me. I looked up at her, looking into her beautiful blue eyes. "Are you okay?"
I hugged her tightly and laid my head on her shoulder, whispering in her ear so that no one else can hear. "W-why is Carlisle here?"
Rebekah hugged me tightly and kissed the side of my head. "We'll talk about that later, I need to get you out of here first. Pack your bags, we're going home."
I nodded my head and kissed Rebekah, giving her a long and slow kiss, earning looks from Carlisle and Esme, disgust clear in Carlisle's eyes. I sighed in content and looked at Stefan. "Will you help me pack? Damon can stay here with Beks."
Stefan nodded and draped his arm around my shoulders, protectively. His jaw was clenched and his eyes held anger in them. I pouted and hugged Stefan tight. "Stef, I'm scared."
Stefan held me close to him and kissed the top of my head. "It's going to be okay. Rebekah will protect you and I'm always just a call away, I promise."
I nodded my head and closed my eyes, holding him close to me. "You're the best brother a girl could ask for."
Stefan chuckled and playfully rolled his eyes. "Let's get you packed and ready to go, we need to get you out of here."
I nodded and put my headphones in and sang 'Why' by Secondhand Serenade as I packed. I slowly danced around my room, "because these days aren't as easy as they have been once before, these days aren't easy anymore." I let myself get sucked into the lyrics and sang every single lyric on key, letting my emotion out throughout the song. I sighed and took one of my headphones out and looked for Stefan who was gone, taking my things out to the car. I leaned against the wall and let out a shaky breath. All of this was scary, my grandparents being outside in their car, me moving in with Rebekah, me having to meet Klaus. It was all becoming too much. Did Rebekah actually want to move in with me or was she lying to protect my feelings? Did she mean it when she said I love you or was it all a lie? Why where Carlisle and Esme here? Where they here to torture me some more? I screamed and threw my glass vase at the wall, whispering. "Just let me go..."
Rebekah came running into the room and crouched down beside me. She pulled me in her lap and I laid my head between her neck and shoulder and quietly sobbed. Rebekah whispered soothing things in my ear and kissed the top of my head until my sobs became hiccups and my eyes grew heavy. I sniffled and looked at Rebekah who looked concerned and heartbroken. "I just, I can't do this..."
Rebekah pulled me closer and kept whispering soothing things while rubbing my lower back. "You're the best thing that has ever happened to me Malia Rosette, please don't give up, not now, not ever. I need you. I'm in love with you, Malia. I want you for the rest of my life. You've made me a better person, a person that I am proud of being. I'm no longer ruthless or living without a purpose because my purpose in life is you."
I looked at Rebekah and kissed her slowly, letting all my emotions go through the kiss, all of my doubts and insecurities, everything in my was placed in this kiss. I felt a tear fall from my face as she pulled away from me. She wiped the tear away and held me closer. "We'll be okay baby girl, I promise."
I nodded my head and nuzzled Rebekah's cheek. "Let's go home, let's start our life together. I want you, Rebekah, forever and always."
Rebekah smiled and kissed me happily. "I love you, Malia."
I smiled back. "I love you more, Beks."
