Same day

Elijah stared at the phone weirdly hearing the anxiousness in Micheal's voice, only to realize that he hung up. He shrugged it off and relaxed deeper into the couch.

Jacob came into the living room with two beers in hand. He handed one of them to Elijah before taking a seat next to him.

"Thanks." Elijah spoke.

"No problem. You talk to Micheal yet?" Jacob inquired.

"Yeah, I just talked to him." Elijah replied.

"What he say?" Jacob asked.

"He told me he loved me." Elijah answered.

"And what did you say?" Jacob said, urging Elijah to continue.

"Nothing. I really didn't get a chance to say anything before he hung up." Elijah replied.

"Did he say anything about Chres?" Jacob inquired.

"Nope." Elijah said simply.

"Man, I'm worried sick about him. He hasn't been answering my calls and I'm concerned about him and the baby." Jacob sighed.

"I thought he wasn't yours?" Elijah pondered with his eyebrow quirked in fascination.

"I still love Chres and that child. I don't care that Royal isn't mine or that Santo had a child by another man. I still want to be involved in his and Royal's life." Jacob confessed.

"I know how you feel. I still love Micheal even though he's pregnant with someone else's child." Elijah empathized.

"Love is a crazy thing." Jacob commented.

"That's a understatement." Elijah mumbled.

Elijah took a sip of the drink in his hand, and it's as if the alcohol flipped a switch inside Elijah's mind. Gears began to turn causing old memories to blur Elijah's thoughts.

"Your thinking about getting back with Micheal right now, aren't you?" Jacob spoke.

"I'm going to ask him to marry me." Elijah stated.

"Wait, what?" Jacob spluttered.

"I'm going to ask Micheal to marry me." Elijah repeated.

"Isn't he dating Dana?" Jacob countered.

"He doesn't love Dana, he loves me. I just know he'll say yes if I ask him." Elijah explained.

"Your crazy." Jacob laughed.

"Not crazy, just in love. Crazily in love with Micheal Martin." Elijah muttered.

"Whatever, dude. Just get out. I'm gonna to take a nap." Jacob dismissed, laying down on the couch under him.

"You act this isn't my living room, which is in my house." Elijah scoffed.

"Just go upstairs and think about Micheal. I'll be down here sleep, if you need me." Jacob stated before he cuddled into the a nearby couch pillow.

"Your the laziest half nigga I know." Elijah mumbled before stomping upstairs to his room.

He plopped onto his bed and began to get comfortable until he felt a sight vibration in his pants pocket. He grabbed the phone and rested it near his ear.

"What?" Elijah answered.

"Elijah, this is Micheal." Micheal announced.

"Oh. What's up?" Elijah asked.
