"One, two, three... HA-PPY BIRTH-DAY YUR-IO!" As soon as I had opened the door, what appeared to be multicoloured ticker tape was thrown towards me, making me blink instinctively. What the hell...? I opened my eyes again and gasped. Standing there... was everyone from the Grand Prix. All the friends we had made, Chris, Pichit, Minami... Just to name the few that caught my vision to begin with. I turned behind me to see Otabek, who's small, selective smile remained. Suddenly I felt something hit me and I spun around to see Viktor practically strangling me in what could only be described as a hug.
"Gerroff!" "YURIO! Did you have a good time with Otabek? We needed you out the house while we made some preparations... Fortunately he didn't seem to mind going to the ice rink even though we planned to pick you up here-" "What?" I glared at Otabek, "You just took me out for no reason but because Viktor told you to??" He sighed and part of me wanted to feel bad - but I couldn't!
"Yuri Plisetsky, I took you out because I wanted to... and I enjoyed myself. It was very nice. Besides, would you have rather JJ did so instead?" I tensed up, "Wait, is he here?" "No... he's on his honeymoon right now. Although he did sound as if-" "Thank fuck!" "Language!" Yuri K came in the room, and I realised I hadn't had the chance to seem him that day. Why should it matter though? He was just a pig... "Whatever. I didn't ask for this party anyway. I'm going to my room."
I ignored the way Viktor's face fell and how the previously buzzing atmosphere had been drowned completely. But it wasn't my fault... I had wanted a quiet day with minimal extravaganzas, but how did I even think that was possible when I lived with the supposedly world's most shocking couple? To hell with that, I hated them all right now and I stomped upstairs to my small room and fell on to my bed. Now more than ever, I missed my cat, which sounded stupid but it was true. She didn't do crap like this to me...
The door opened but before I could yell at the person to go away, I realised it was Otabek. Taking a seat on my bed he turned to look at me, "Why are you so full of anger, my soldier?" He asked gently, his accent caressing the words slowly. I blinked again; he had called me a soldier before, but his soldier... "I... I didn't want this day to be like this." I admitted, "I wanted it to be me on my own. Then you came and I thought it could be just the two of us... But Viktor and the other Yuri mess up everything."
"They just want you to be happy..." Like his words, Otabek's hands were caressing my face now, "I want you to be happy to. That's all I've ever wanted because..." he blushed, "I love you very much."
