Chapter 21

CHLOES POV
Beca asked me to be her girlfriend. Beca Mitchell is my girlfriend. I can't believe this is happening. I mean her asking me when she is in a hospital bed because she has tried to end her life wasn't the most romantic thing but I don't care because she asked me. And that makes me so happy. I am brought out of my thoughts by Beca asking me a question. "Chloe how long do you think I'll be here for?" I take her hand. "I don't know Becs,it depends on what the doctors say. You lost a lot of blood" She looks at me with tears in her eyes.
"I'm so sorry you've seen me like this Chloe,I never wanted you too see me like this weak" I just look into her eyes lovingly, to me she is the strongest girl I have ever met.
"Hey,look at me. It doesn't bother me ok? To me you are stronger than you think. Yeah you may have had a weak spell but you fight this everyday and you are allowed days where you feel like absolute shit because you have been through hell,but I promise you are not alone ok? You will never be alone"
A single tear falls down her cheek and she smiles at me. Which turned into a yawn. "I'm tired chloe" I placed a kiss in her forehead and said. "I bet you are honey,you get some rest and I'll get let Amy know you are ok" she smiled at me and closed her eyes. So I stood up and left the room to find Amy.
I grabbed myself a coffee and headed outside. I opened my bag and reached for a packet of cigarettes and a lighter. I only smoke when I'm stressed and worried. Just as I had lit the cigarette Amy walked out the building. "Shit" I mumbled to myself. "Alright ginger? How's shorty doing?" I just look at my hand hoping Amy hasn't noticed. "I noticed,I don't care Chloe honestly. I just want to know how Beca is?"
"She's ok. She's sleeping right now. But I think she is going to be fine." She smiles at me and places a hand in my shoulder.
"That's good,and how are you two?"
"What? What do you mean?" I panic reply.
"Oh come on ginge it's obvious that you two like each other. We've all noticed it"
"I..uh...yeah ok i like her and she asked me to be her girlfriend" Amy just looks at me with the biggest smile on her face.
"But Amy you need to promise me you won't tell the girls,especially Aubrey. Because I don't think Beca will be able to handle people knowing"
"That's fine red,I won't say anything. Go in there and be with your girl" I just smile and reply "thanks Amy" and I head back inside the building to be with my girlfriend.
