I turned and walked out of Rose's room.
" Rebecca?" I heard and turned. As I did the world changed. I was in a field. There were flowers. There was a man across from me.
" Austin?" I asked as he stood up. He turned to me and the light from the sun blinded him. He rubbed his eyes and I went to his side. He looked awful. His eyes were shrunken and black surrounded them. His hair was greasy and was ruffled up. His skin was pale and dirty.
" Are you okay?" I asked and I reached out and touched his arm.
" Yes I'm fine. Is this a dream?" He asked opening his eyes.
" I don't know.." I said and gave him a puzzled look. He stared at me. His mouth opening in shock.
" Austin where are you?" I asked.
" I'm right here." He said and looked behind me. I turned and saw Derek standing on the edge of the forest. He had a sword and was walking towards us. I grabbed Austin's hand and pulled him after me. I ran into the woods.
" What are you doing!" I heard him yell. I looked back.
" He's going to kill you!" I yelled back.
" I can't hear you!" Austin said and then he pulled me to a halt. I looked to him then kissed him. He kissed me back and his arms enclosed around my waist. I pulled back and I began to cry. He reached up to wipe the tears away but his hand went through my face. He frowned and tried to hug me and his hands passed through. Then Derek grabbed me and I screamed.
" Rebecca!!" I heard him yell. I was thrown against the ground. I looked back up to see the world shift. The ground turned to stone and it was cracked. The air was filled with smoke and it made my eyes water. I looked to see a cliff and the sound of two swords clashing made me look to my side. I saw Austin and Derek fighting.
" Austin!" I yelled and he glanced to me. I tried to get up but then a sharp pain made me look to my side. I had a deep gash that was bleeding bad. I began coughing and the pain got worse with each cough. I looked back to see Austin towering over Derek. Derek's sword was gone. He was on his back looking up to Austin. Austin pulled back and was about to cut his head off. When there was a flash of something black. It sunk itself into Austin's chest.
" No!!!" I screamed and Austin stopped. He looked down and saw the arrow sticking out of his heart. He frowned looking confused. He looked back to Derek who was smiling. Austin dropped his sword and tried to pull out the arrow. Derek picked up the sword and stood up. He was laughing then cut off Austin's leg.
" No!! Stop please!!! Please just stop!!" I yelled my voice filling with sorrow and pain. I stood up and began to walk over. Austin was down and looking to me. His eyes were bright green. And he looked like he was broken. I kept going. Derek laughed and chopped off his arm. I picked up pace. I was almost there and Austin looked back to me. He smiled with the strength he could muster. I was only a few steps away when Derek kicked him off the cliff.
" NO!!!" I screamed and fell to my knees. A sob broke loose from my chest. I crawled to the edge of the cliff and looked down. There was a lava filled crater at the bottom. I looked back one last time. With my heart shattered, I then threw myself off the cliff.
