"Gabe?" I heard Rose ask and my eyes fluttered open. I groaned.
"Gabe!!" She exclaimed and hugged me tightly.
"What happened?"
"I could be asking you the same thing!! Where's Becca?"
"Derek took her. "I said and sat up.
"No. The king of Vampires did." Someone said and we heard heels clicking in the hall way. We turned to see a woman standing in the hall way.
"Who are-" I began
"Who I am. Is not important. "She said all formal and business like. "What matters is that we save her and I take my soul mate back." She said flipping her hair over her shoulder. Her hair was brown and had highlights. Her eyes were glowing amber. It seemed to flicker like an open flame at night as her heart beat.
"Although you might remember me Gabey. In the fire of '97. Of Course you might not remember since you were an infant at the time. I frowned.
"Who-"
"Just call me Stella." She said walking past me. "I mean after all. I saved your life that night." She said walking past us. "I'm hungry." She said and flipped her hair again. "What's for dinner?" she asked pulling a phone from her pocket. "I'm up for some pizza." She said dialing some numbers. I stared at her in shock.
"The fire...?" I asked and an image flashed in my mind. It was a small infant trapped in a circle of fire.
"Gabey! Little brother!! " was all I heard over the roar of the flames. A wooden pillared fell in front of me and i fell back. Then the vision ended.
" What was that.." I asked and looked back to Stella as she ended her phone call.
"That was the past. The night i saved you. The night father and mother died. I've kept up with you since then. But it seems mother had an affair you see. Thats why you are half wolf. Half vampire. " She sneered on the word vampire.
I had parents.. I thought to myself.
No, WE had parents.
I looked up.
" Stella... We're..."
" Yes. We are." She finished for me. My mind was spinning. Then the house phone rang.
" Hello?" I asked as I answered as static came across the line.
" Hello. Gabe, I presume?" I heard someone say.
" Who is this." I demanded and heard screaming in the back. It was a female voice.
" Sasha?!?!" I yelled into the phone and felt my eyes shift color.
" Now that i got your attention. " They said chuckling.
" What. Do. You. Want." I said threw clentched teeth.
" I want Austin." They said.
" Don't do it Alpha!!" I heard Haley yell. Then i heard Sasha scream again.
" NO!!! Stop!!!" I roared and started to move forward.
" I want Austin. When you get him. I'll contact you. And for each day you stall. The more pain I'll bring your sweet pack. Isn't that right Sasha? Haley?" Then I heard somone scream no as another screamed. Then the line went dead. I threw the phone and it shattered across the room.
" GOD DAMN IT ALL!!!" I roared and Stella walked over and slapped me. I paused and held my face. I stared at her in shock.
" Getting mad isn't going to help them!!" She yelled. And the door bell rang. She clapped her hands together.
