The drive was short and fun. Sasha, Haley and me had talked the whole time. They had went to California and were on a spy mission. We chatted away as Gabe drove.
" The beach was so pretty! I loved the smell." Sasha said and Haley nodded in agreement.
" The ocean was my favorite part. The water felt amazing." Haley said and looked to Gabe. He kept his eyes on the road then finally looked to me.
" Becca where did you want to go for the party supplies? "
" Party City!" Sasha called from the back and Gabe rolled his eyes.
" If that's okay with you Becca." Haley said.
" How about we stop at McDonalds and plan from there?" I ask and Gabe nods.
" So Becca how about we go to the mall while we do this all? I mean this seems fun and all but I want to shop. It's been forever."
" Sasha, Stop. This is for Jhonny. Now quit being a glutton for punishment." Haley said and Gabe and I busted out laughing. Sasha blushed a deep red then looked out of the window. Gabe turned the steering wheel to the left and we pulled up to McDonalds.
" How about I go order and you guys stay here?" Gabe asked
" Okay. I'll pay you back. " Haley said and Gabe hopped out of the car.
" The usual Rebecca?"
" Hm. No I think I'll take a shake instead."
" Alright. Vanilla with no whip or Cherry correct?"
" Always." I said and smiled. He smiled back and closed the door.
" Is Becca and Alpha hooking up behind closed doors???" Sasha asked and soon enough jumped up front and sat in the driver seat.
" What? No." I said and she raised an eye brow.
" Riiiiiiiiiight." Sasha said while rolling her eyes.
" Sasha stop it. If she doesn't want to admit it she doesn't have to." Haley said and they both started laughing.
" There nothing to admit! Nothing's going on!" I said feeling myself blush.
" Then why are you blushing??" Sasha asked.
" Because I can't believe this." I said and felt my cheeks cool down.
" It has been five years since-"
" Don't. Talk. About. That." I said and looked at Sasha. She flinched and her eyes went wide.
" Rebecca." Haley said and I closed my eyes.
" I'm sorry..." Sasha said and moved to the back. The door opened and I looked out the window and Gabe got in the car and passed the food to the back. He closed the door and the car stayed silent. He sighed.
" Which one pissed off Rebecca?" Gabe asked as we pulled out of the parking lot.
" Sasha did." I said and felt Gabe's hand on my arm.
" It's okay. What did you say Sasha?"
" She tried to talk about Austin." I said my voice flat. Gabe turned to me in surprise.
" Rebecca, Are you okay?"
" Yeah why wouldn't I-" I felt a tear drop on my hand. I looked down and water clouded my vision. Gabe shook his head and accelerated.
" We're going home. I'm dropping Sasha and Haley off. Then we'll take a long drive and talk." I only nodded and kept looking out the window. After ten minutes I ended up falling asleep.
