Just the beginning

Naruto's eyes flitted around the room quickly while tapping his pencil onto the paper full of questions in front of him. He had finished writing the answers a while ago and had put a genjutsu on the paper so nobody could actually cheat. Kakashi and Itachi also seemed to be done apparently since itachi was somehow silently communicating with Shisui while Kakashi much to the annoyance of the examiners is leaning back on his chair feet on the table while reading his book not bothered by the glares at all. Kira who's sitting on the other side of the room still seems busy like Sakura and Sasuke seems to be finishing up.

• Naruto's pov •
Naruto stops halfway as he suddenly feels someone trying to probe in his mind. He frowns.

Could it be Ino? Why would she try to do that?

No it isn't Ino. Shukaku wants to put a mind link.

My frown deepens. You guys can do that?

Kurama scoffs at my question. But doesn't reply. Soon Shukaku's voice rings out through my head .

That disgusting snake is sitting a few seats away from us. Permission to kill.

I inwardly let out a snort. No, Shukaku.You can't kill him..... yet.

Kurama and Shukaku both smile evilly while i can feel Gaara's amusement through the mind link.

Bummer. Is the only response i get. I roll my eyes about to comment on his sarcastic tone when im brought back too the real world by a tap. I raise my eyebrow as my gaze meets Hinata who's sitting next too me. She discretely moves her paper closer too mine so i can read all her answers. Oooooh she's letting you cheat off her.How sweet. Kurama answers teasingly making me inwardly roll my eyes again. I give Hinata an a small smile shaking my head moving her paper back in her direction. She frowns glancing at my empty paper before looking at me again. I lightly touch her hand on her desk giving her a sign that it's okay before removing my hand ignoring how she becomes an intresting shade of red by my touch.

"Aww,Mikoto look.She has an crush."Mom's voice rings out next to me. I sigh. Mikoto let's out an laugh in response. "Naru,why don't you ask her out?". I grimace at the nickname. 'I don't have time too date.'I sign silently in response while keeping an eye on all the examiners in the room. "Im sure you can balance those."Mom comments eagerly. I roll my eyes. 'I don't like her that way.'i sign bluntly. Mom's face falls dissapointed about to say something in response when she's cut off by Ibiki's voice. "Alright! Time for the 10th question."
