Chase's P.O.V
//Fuck//"Fuck" I mumble putting my locker combination in for the third time. I don't understand why my locker doesn't like opening half the time. If I try one more time and it doesn't open, it's over, my stuff is staying here.
My last two periods are free periods for some strange reason. Period nine is with Sabrina and period ten is with Jaison. I was just in the classroom with Jai, but he kept asking what was going on between Ashley and me, so I told him I had to go. It's obvious there is something going on and they know that, but they don't know why and that's how I want it to stay. He probably thought I was lying by the way he was looking at me when I left. Technically I didn't lie to him, I have a date with Sabrina later and I have stuff to do before we go.
I asked my aunt to borrow her car, but I still have to call and make sure she's still coming. She lives in Philly so hopefully, she already left. I know she's going to make me do something before I can have her car the whole weekend, plus I need clothes, and I still don't know where we're going. Therefore, I have A lot to do before eight o'clock.
I put my combination in one more time finally getting it to work. I shove my stuff into my book bag and close my locker. I walk down the hallway and push open the doors. It's kind of chilly outside so I zip up my hoodie.
The walk home is quiet, just me and my thoughts. I would usually have Sabrina with me and she'd talk the whole way home while I'd listen, but she has class last period plus its Friday so she has cheerleading.
I walk into the house and throw my book bag to the side, flopping down on the couch.
Honestly, I don't like date night. Why does there need to be a planned day dedicated to a date? It's better when you're together and casually and decide to go out. The whole planning a day and dressing nice puts more pressure on me. Now it's my job to plan the day and I end up stressing trying to make everything perfect for her. Sabrina means the world to me and all I want is to be able to make her happy.
I pick up my phone to call my aunt, but it starts ringing before I can unlock it.
"Hello?"
"Chase, Hi sweetie. I'm almost there, I have to run a few errands at the mall so you might as well just come with me." What did I tell you?
"Um ok," I say and she hangs up. A few minutes later I hear a car horn outside. I guess she was closer than I thought.
I get up and walk outside making sure I have my keys and my phone in my pocket. Her husband Corey, is in the car behind her, to take her home I guess.
I go to sit in the front seat but my little cousin Rowan is already sitting in the front seat. She sticks her tongue out at me and I shoot her a glare before getting in the back seat.

We're a half an hour into the car ride and everything's fine until Rowan puts on Iggy Azalea on the radio."Turn this bull-" I catch myself before I swear and my aunt looks at me in the mirror.
"Why?" Rowan turns around asking with innocent eyes.
"Because I don't like it," I say bluntly.
"I don't like it either but it's gonna stay on just because you don't like it." She grins turning around. I kick the back of her chair and she glares at me through the side mirror. "Mom chase kicked my seat!" She yells in a whiney tone.
"My legs are long, it's not my fault." I shrug looking out the window.
Another 20 minutes in the car completes the 50-minute drive car drive to the mall. My aunt parks the car and Corey parks next to us. Everyone gets out the cars and we walk up the parking lot into the mall.
