//Fransisco the Ferret pt.2//

Chase's P.O.V

I hate the basement. It doesn't have anything to do with something tragic my parents did to me (Though there are many memories), I just don't like the basement. It's dark and it's creepy, even when the lights are on.

Bea and I walk down the stairs leading into the basement. I wanted her to walk ahead of me, but she refused. I take out my phone and put the flashlight on.

"Chase what's that?!" Bea yells gripping my arm.

"What? What's there?!" I scream frantically looking around. Bea lets go of my arm and doubles over in laughter.

"Bea! Don't do that!" I whine when seeing her wipe a tear. "And stop laughing" I add with a pout.

"Okay choo-choo Evans." She replied straightening her posture.

I roll my eyes at her nickname for me. I only got it because in 2nd grade we had a train station in the classroom and she threw a train at me. I cried and told the teacher. Now Bea calls me choo-choo Evans when she wants to annoy me, just for the fun of it.

"Hurry up and put the lights on before the monsters come out." She teases poking my arm.

"Shutup," I say, but still rush over to the circuit breaker to get this done as soon as possible.

I shine the light on the switches and flip the correct switch. I smile triumphantly as the lights come back on and I turn off my flashlight.

"The light's are on Jai go look for your fucking ferret!" Bea and I hear who I think is Joslyn scream from upstairs.

"Let's go before Joslyn kills someone," Bea says walking up the stairs and I follow her.

When we get upstairs Jaison is on the floor looking under the couch while Ashley and Joslyn sit on the couch and watch. Sabrina has her knees pressed to her chest on the loveseat. She's so small, it makes me happy,

"You guys could help, you know." Jai huffs sitting criss-cross applesauce on the floor.

"It's okay Jaison," I say and he looks over at me. "We'll find your squirrel." I grin as he rolls his eyes. He goes to speak, probably to tell me it's a ferret, but I cut him off. "In fact, no one's leaving until the squirrel is found because you are not just gonna leave it at my house," I say.

"I don't mind staying the night," Joslyn says eagerly. I look at her and raise an eyebrow as an almost barely noticeable blush makes its way onto her cheeks, but I see it.

Sabrina let's go of her knees and cautiously checks the floor for Francisco before standing up, "Well it's not my ferret or squirrel or whatever and you can't tell me what to do, so I'm leaving." She says while walking to the door.

I sighed walking over to her and easily lifting her up. Ignoring her complaints, I put her back on the loveseat. She glares at me, but I ignore her look and peck her on the lips, smiling when she blushes.

"Can you guys stop flirting and help me find Francisco?" Jai says interrupting our moment.

"I'm not looking for your long rat, It looks like an off-brand Alvin from 'Alvin and the chipmunks." Sabrina snaps crossing her arms.

"You know what." Jai huffs standing up. He tries to continue his rant but, I cross over to him trying not to laugh and wrap an arm around his shoulder.

"Jaison I love you, but if you yell at her, I'll hurt you," I say in a warning tone.

"So c'mon let's go upstairs and look for Francisco," I add and he nods.
