Chapter 5: Jase's Dad Returns

Clary's P.O.V

.

“ Our dad's name is Hodge,"

The words were running through my head for the entire minute were everyone was silent. Then all hell broke loose. God could our luck get any worse.

“ Bethany you told them too much. Now because of you, they have to die," Hodge, Jase's apparent father said.

“ Can we take Jase. Please. I love him dad. Then you had to become evil and we were separated. Valentine's dead you don't have to follow out his last plans. We can be a family," Bethany pleaded.

“ You've  told them even more now they need to die," he raised his hand.

I grabbed my stele, and did rune that would freeze the demons that were just summoned, so we could kill Hodge first, then escape.      Oops I froze everyone. I shrugged and went over to the demons, and killed them while they were frozen. Then Hodge unfroze.

“ A little one on one girly," Hodge sneered.

“ My pleasure," I I grinned. He wasn't anything like the man I'd met years ago.

“ You could join us. You're talent would help us greatly," Hodge said.

“ Fat chance. My father already tried I wouldn't join if my life depended on it," I sneered.

“ I'm doing this for your benefit, this is what's right. The Clave cover up what the Downworlder's do. They kill shadowhunters and the Clave says that they were demon attacks they're liars," he looked at me.

That made me stop and think. After all, we don't know what the Clave doesn't tell us.

“ Okay, I'll think about just let us go for now they'll keep quiet if I tell them to. You'll here from me soon," I said.

Hi guys, hope you loved it. Took a long time to figure out what happens next. I even changed the plot. So the description changed to.
