Artemis drew back her bowstring and fired an arrow into the target where it sunk through the wood about halfway, leaving the manikin with a unicorn horn made of an arrow shaft.
"Well shot sister." Apollo smiled, clapping.
"She was believed to be a Goddess for a reason." Mari offered with a grin of her own.
Mikky rolled her eyes. "You have a magic bow." The cat retorted before drawing her own bowstring back and aiming for the target.
"It takes a long time of practice." Artemis confessed.
"If you quit now no one will fault you for it. She is-"
Apollo was cut short when Mikky released her arrow, getting it to slam into the same spot as Artemis' arrow, slicing into the side of the shaft.
"You forget that I too have lived a long life." The lattamer answered, her tail swaying behind her.
"Well done. I see you're not one to be underestimated." Artemis smiled.
"Indeed." Mikky returned the smile with one of mischief, and Artemis couldn't tell if the cat was using some sort of trick. How could you cheat at archery? Either you aimed true, or you didn't.
Mikky laughed. "You think I'm playing you for a fool?" She questioned.
Apollo jumped up and walked around Mikky, examining her for anything suspicious. "I know your kind! You're a master of deception!"
"Actually she's a master of thievery." Mari corrected. "She probably is just very skilled with a bow."
"Your move Artemis." Mikky bowed respectively.
Artemis raised an eyebrow before readying another arrow and firing it into the next target. Once again a perfect head shot.
Mikky raised her bow and took aim. "I'm insulted you think I'd use tricks in a fair game with my friends." She explained, glancing at Apollo out of the corner of her eye before firing the arrow, and once again it was perfectly in place with Artemis's.
"Fear not my brother. While she may not use trickery, she's still dependent on aiming. She must not trust her eye to make the arrow hit the target." Artemis smiled.
"You think I cannot fire rapidly?" Mikky questioned. "Perhaps." Mikky glanced at the target before drawing three arrows from her quiver and lining them up on her bow. "But I'm still a threat." She drew back her bowstring and quickly released the three arrows where one went through the head of the third target, the second went through the heart, and the last ripped through it's leg."
"What!? Where did you learn such technique!?" Apollo asked.
"Years of practice." Mikky confessed with a grin.
Mari clapped as she stood up. "Good show. Especially after just waking up after such a battle."
"You can thank Aeriin for my quick recovery." The cat shrugged. "Her blood is filled with miracles."
"So you're cheating!" Apollo scoffed.
"Not at this game." Mikky answered. "I've known how to shoot a bow like this for the last century."
"If I find out you cheated..." Apollo grumbled.
"I'll gladly come to you for my punishment." Mikky bowed again, clearly enjoying tormenting Apollo.
"Relax my brother." Artemis smiled, drawing three of her own arrows and firing them into the dummy in the exact same places. "She may have practice, but so do I."
