Angels POV

"Angel, how long are we going to wait for this girl?" Iggy asked. "I thought we were going to find Max?"

"Just a little while longer and I bet she could help us find them." I pointed out. Its been hours since we left Winter at the roof top. I don't know why I'm waiting. I just wish she could answer more questions.

"For all we know, she could be working with the white coats." Iggy said. He was probably right. When I'm around her, I just feel safe. I don't know, I'm so confused about all of this. I'm determined to wait for her, though. I really don't what else to do.

"I say we wait." Gazzy said. He hasn't talked much lately. I was starting to get a little worried about him. "If we're going to rescue Max, we will need help."

"Do you always have to side with your little sister?" Iggy murmured.

Gazzy opened his mouth to say something, but I interrupted, "Look in the sky!" I pointed at the figure that was too big to be a bird but to small to be an eraser. "It's Winter!" I could tell as she got closer. Her dark hair was everywhere. She landed just a few yards away.

I ran over to her with a grin on my face. I knew she would come. Iggy and Gazzy followed behind me.

"Winter!" I squealed. I looked her over, no scratched or bruises. It doesn't even look like they touched her. Her skin looked paler than usual and I could see her hands slightly shaking. How could she have escaped from all the erasers?

Winter collapsed and fell into Iggy's arms. She jumped up quickly, not making eye-contact with me.

"Are you OK?" I asked her.

"Don't worry about me, I'm fine." She gave me a weak smile. "So, where are we going?"

"Um," I hesitated. "Lets go find a library." I tell them.

We walk into the gigantic library. I remember when Max took us to the library once. She searched where we needed to go. I could do that. I walk up to the desk with an old lady standing behind it. She had grey hair and her glasses were on the tip of her nose.

"Excuse me?" I said quietly.

"What do you want?" A disgusted look on her face.

"I'm sorry ma'am, but we're looking to use a computer." Winter said with a charming smile.

"3rd floor." The old lady said.

"Thank you." Winter nodded and we went up the stairs.

We split up each getting on different computers. I searched through hundreds of pages, but I couldn't stop thinking about how Winter managed to escape from the erasers. I shouldn't trust, there is no possible way she could've survived unless she was working with them.

I scrolled down a page, not really sure what I was even looking for. Then I froze after something popped up, Fang's Blog. It says he hasn't posted in 6 monthes.

Then I did something that I'll probably regret. I sent a message to all of the member of Fang' s Gang and I gave them our location. This plan would either go amazingly good or terrible. That's the thing about being the leader, you have to take risks, I tried to reassure myself.

"I think I found something!" I heard Gazzy say. I shut down the computer and we all gathered around the screen.

On the top of the screen it said, Institute of Higher Living. "Look, it has a list of numbers and dates. And that one is Max's number and next to it is the date she disappeared and then yesterdays date next to it for some reason. She must b other though!" Gazzy said excitedly.

I should've thought to check there, maybe Max is there.

"It couldn't hurt to try." I tried to make it sound like I wasn't so anxious. I miss Max so much.

"We're going to New York, again." I said.

Iggy moaned, "Of course, we are."

We left the library and started walking down the street. Iggy and Gazzy chatted back and forth infront of us. I started to slow down, so there would be more distance between us.

"So, what did you do on the computer?" Winter asked.

"I messaged some other kids to come and help us find Max. I have a feeling we're going to need as much help as we can get." I whispered to her. She nodded.

"Do they have wings?" She asked, a curios look on her face.

"No, but they have super powers." I told her. I just hope I wasn't making a huge mistake. I know Gazzy and Iggy won't be too happy with my decision, either.

"And you think we're going to find Max," she pauses for a long time, "and Fang?" She says so quietly I wasn't sure she said anything at all.

I nodded. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but I can't help it.

"We're coming Max. I'm coming." I thought loudly, hoping somehow, somewhere, Max heard me.
