POV-ASHLEIGH

I walk straight to the washroom and splash a large amount of cool water on my hot face. Enough to make a scene in titanic. I needed a wake-up call. Man that was.....

Like seriously what the Freaking Strawberry Homer Simpson was that????

Goodness fucking gracious. What the hell happened to all the pep talk you gave yourself Olsen?! You're not letting that.... that..... That.... argh, damnit that gorgeous bastard get under your skin! Whatever happened to the player hand-book for the dummies? Or 101 ways to make a guy fall for you? I mean I ain't that weak and I never will be!

That thing that happened in English lit blew my mini-sense of the world into smithereens. His hand, rough and smooth at the same time had worked wonders on my body. Boy! I wonder how the hell I controlled that moan waiting to come out from my mouth.

Man.....the only freaking way I'd managed to go through it was imagining that those hands were Bryce's. Sick! That grosses me out even now and I keep wonder what the hell I was thinking at that time. Obviously I couldn't forget my first conquest as a player.

But that was the past and as for the present and future DAMAIN MONTGOMERY......I ain't falling for your charm. I steeled my resolve and vowed the one thing I'd been trying to stick to ever since Esthevan and his stupid idiotic drink challenge, it made me wonder how 'he's my best friend',

Well whatever but I never back down so "I'm never falling for him,"

It's all about making him fall for me. And I know I am stronger than this, he isn't gonna affect me. Whatever happened today was just an absolute slip of mind and stupid escalating teenage hormones and I will make sure this never ever happens again, I don't give in so easily. Yes! I am Ashleigh Olsen and Damian you are so going down this time, my way.

The rest of the classes passed by in a blur and I didn't find any sign of Damian. I guess it really shocked him, not getting any kind of reaction from me. Ha!

Fine by me because I was planning on taking this slow. So it didn't matter. I guess I'll think about it later.

The final bell sounded the starting of lunch as I trudged my lazy form sluggishly to the cafeteria.

I picked the chocolate milk over the juice and took two sandwiches. I'm sure Esthevan's going to eat one of them anyways.

I walked towards to our secret spot behind the trees outside the cafeteria. I saw Bianca twirling her hair around her fingers looking absentmindedly at a tree. Esthevan screamed in delight when he saw the sandwiches and Jade was busy with her iPod plugged in, probably listening to Imagine Dragons, her new favourite from what I hear, but that's just her. I sit down beside Bianca and realize she's hiding something as she continuously was avoiding looking my way. I give her my best, I'm-your-grandma-tell-me-what-it-is-if-you-want-the-chocolate-cookies... She snaps out of her trance and pays me a morsel of her attention.

"What?" she says. I arch an eyebrow at her... Worried my grandma look was not working its usual wonders. "What??!" I ask her incredulously as if it wasn't obvious she was just staring at a tree and looking like the world's gonna flood any minute. "What's in that mind of yours? That's bugging you into oblivion?" I asked her. I for sure know something is definitely going on.

"Oh... Was I?" She asked me. Esthevan piped in, "She's been like that for most of the day..."

Wow, dumb head, you haven't done anything about it yet, I thought. Esthevan's still a thick head even being gay; I thought gay guys are more perceptive. But we all knew how he wasn't a normal gay.

"What is it Bianca?" I asked her ignoring Esthevan's munching noises, he so needed table manner classes . He was ravishing my burger, I'm sure if I was it, I'd be having an orgasm right now.

"It's nothing Ash; I was just thinking how stupid I was to forget my suntan lotion!" She offered lamely.

What did I look like? I was not as naïve as Esthevan. Bianca, I can see right through your façade. I don't get it why she even bothers hiding when she knows I'll eventually find out.

"Sweetie, are you sure you're alright?" I asked her.

"It's just, it's such a sunny day and you know how hard it was to save my ultra sensitive skin from the sun." She said diverting my train of thought. But I wasn't a fool. "Really, Bianca? You expect me to believe that when you look like the sky's about to fall on you?" I asked her. She gives me a look of hostility and looked like she didn't owe me a damn thing. What was with the glare? After all we've been through she looks at me like I flushed her fish down the toilet when I was just trying to find out what was bothering her. I mean that's what best friends are for, right? As they say 'together through good and the bad time, always'.

Jade took her earphones out and sternly stated, "Let it go Ash. She'll tell us when she is ready. She doesn't seem like she's in a good mood as it is."

"Yeah, listen to her Ashleigh." Bianca said still not losing her hostile glare. "It's none of your business anyway...so better stay out of it, alright!" she added.

I looked at her in awe. Was she serious?

"Buns..." I said using the nickname I gave her when we were really young. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to come off as rude, you know I was just......being concerned... that's all" I said. Her glare softens and she looks at me. "It's okay Ash, you don't have to apologize. You're my best friend. I'll tell you everything when I can. I'm just not ready to face the parade yet." Bianca says.

"I'll catch you guys later." She begins to walk off as all of us mutter goodbyes and Esthevan moans as he drinks my chocolate milk, such a pig.

We hear loud screams as Bianca stumbled into Samantha, the bimbo as she walked back to the building. Samantha screeching that she wanted oxygen and Bianca screaming a few more colourful words at Samantha, well she definitely deserves it, bitch. Bianca bent down to pick her scattered objects that fell in the collision.

As she stuffed all of it into her mini-handbag, I saw something I'd never mistake in my life. I'd paid a few dollars for it when I, Jade and Bianca went shopping last weekend.

The 50 SPF sun tan lotion. I was sure I hadn't made a mistake when I heard Jade's almost inaudible gasp as she too recognized the product Bianca had used as her alibi.

We simultaneously looked at each other and I muttered, "She better have a solid reason to flip us off like that Jade. Or I'm going to kill her and feed her to the strays." And Jade just gave me a nod agreeing, not blinking and still trying to figure out "why".
