POV: ASHLEIGH
Dad walked onto the pebbled driveway and whistled a bit as he dialed a number on his phone.
I strolled with my mother, with our dresses trailing behind us.
"There will be no need for that, Sir." A deep voice said from behind me.
I jumped and held a hand to my now rapidly beating heart. "Bloody Nora!" I cursed as I turned around to face a man in impeccable white and blue.
I heard dad chuckle and say, "Good going, Bennett."
"I'll give you a good hiding if you creep up on me like that again, Bennett!" I yelled, how dare he? That scared the shit out of me.
"I'm sorry Madame, I didn't mean to startle you." My French employee said, trying to hold in a smile.
"The Phantom or The Hummer, Sir?" He continued, with out missing a beat.
"The Phantom or The Hummer?" My dad repeated. I turned around to see him looking at my mother expectantly.
She bit her bottom lip and after a while of perusing she said, "The Hummer tonight?"
Thank God. We've been to many places in that Phantom. The Hummer, though less used, was a beauty.
"Bring her out, Bennett." Dad said as he pulled the purple pocket square he had chosen earlier out of his pants.
Bennett nodded and left for the massive garage.
Dad fiddled around with the square, trying to put it into place. My mother walked upto him and put the square in with a practiced hand.
She finished fixing it and looked up to see dad looking at her with a small smile, she blushed a bright red. She began to move away when dad caught her waist and whispered in her ear. She giggled and blushed a little more.
I had a smile on my face but it quickly changed into a frown, Why aren't you always like this? I thought bitterly. Why do you change?
I cleared my sore throat and said, "I'm taking Sally away, I hope you remember mom."
She looked uncertainly at dad.
He looked to me and said, "Why would you do that?"
I rolled my eyes and replied, "I spend majority of my time at Jade's. I thought it was better to make the most of it and spend it with Sally."
After a short pause, "Do whatever you wish, Ashleigh." Dad said, even mum could tell he was pissed. She silently looked to me with a plea in her eyes to keep shush.
I wasn't going to back down on Sally.
The hum of the Hummer's (get it? Never mind...) engine broke the silence as I looked to the black beauty. Though it looked massive, the coach was elegant and custom made to suit our preferences.
I'm not going to lie, most of it was just me manipulating my parents into getting what I liked.
And they're not complaining. Yet.
I walked to the vehicle, my parents in tow and stepped in and thanked Bennett for holding the door open. I settled into the plush leather and sighed in satisfaction. My parents sat opposite me. I eagerly reached for the champagne flutes and the bottle. It was light and crisp (I knew it, hell, I chose the bottle a few months ago), just right to get through the fundraiser. I filled in two glasses first and handed them to dad and mom.
I began to fill my own, hoping to get some extra in. I needed all the ammo available against my killer heels.
"No drinking, cheesecake. Especially no underage drinking." Dad said as he took a sip of his own glass and slid a hand around mum.
