(Luke's POV)
I knocked on the black door of Katie's house. It was large and made if bricks. There were some green vines running along it and I thought it was fascinating. There were two older looking lights on the top of each side of the door. I heard three or four locks unlock and then the door open.
"Luke! Hey!" She wrapped her arms around my neck. My arms twisted around her waist and we embraced she let go and invited me inside. It was dim. The little light went well with the tanned walls. The kitchen was large. It had Carmel coloured cabinets and the counter top was a maroon granite. I looked to my right and there was a large leather couch. It was the same colour as the counter top and was in the shape of a semi circle. The big flat screen was mounted into the wall.
"Do you, uh, want some food?" She asked. She looked into the refrigerator.
"No thanks. I'm fine. I just really need to..." I choked up. "Talk." I sniffled.
"Aw Luke. I'm really sorry. Do you wanna talk about it?" She said patting my back.
"Y-yeah." I said. We walked over to the large sectional and sat down. There was a beige blanket on the back of the sofa and I wrapped myself in it.
"Okay. I'm just gonna pour my heart out right now and you can comment later alright? Okay: I'm in love with Ashton. He's the perfect guy. And he's the perfect guy for me. I cannot stand to see him with that Braden guy. When he asked Ashton to be his boyfriend, I- I fucking flipped. I just couldn't show it because I didn't want Ashton to know. And yes I know I was about to tell him, but now that he has a boyfriend and I can't. Plus, Braden'll beat the fuck out of me. He already hates me and I didn't do anything! Just, just help me Katie." I spilled. She probably knew about love more than me and I need help from an expert. I'm desperate.
"Oh my god, Luke! I didn't know you felt like this! Please whatever you do, don't cry. I can't stand that. Anyway, what you need to do for now is wait it out. Wait until there's a right time. Ashton might like you back. And if you tell him then Braden might get hurt if Ash leaves him...for you." She stated. She was right. "Maybe you should avoid them together as much as possible. You know, instead of coming home right away, you come over here. We can hang out while they're together. That way you don't have to...listen to them." She giggled. I laughed along with her. She really knew how to make me feel happy again.
"Thanks Katie. You really know how to cheer a guy-" there was a knock at the door.
"What? Braden isn't supposed to be here until eight. It's only seven thirty." She questioned as she walked to the door. It opened and there wasn't a boy standing there. It was a girl. She was tan, brown haired, brown eyed and was a whole head shorter than Katie.
"Adi! You're home!" She hugged the girl. She let go and introduced us. "Luke this is my little sister, Adilade. But, everyone calls her Adi. Adi, this is Luke-what's your last name?" She turned to me. "Hemmings." I whispered. "Luke Hemmings!" She exclaimed.
"Ooh. Who's this?" Adi said wiggling her eyebrows. "Oh haha. You don't have to worry about me. I uh, I'm gay." I chuckled.
"Oh! That's great! How's that life?" The young girl asked me, resting her chin one her fist as she leaned on the counter. I was more surprised than offended.
"Ugh! Adilade! That was rude!"
"What?! I was just curious..."
"Katie it's okay." I said. I kind of felt that someone was curious about my life. "As of right now, it's pretty sucky." I shrugged.
"Aw wh-" Katie cut her little sister off. "Adi, I already cleared this up with him. I used your advice." She smiled poking her sister. She turned to me.
