*Luke's POV*

After talking everything over with Katie and Adi, I think I know what I'm going to do about this Ashton thing. I'm simply going to ask if he has any feelings for me. If not, I'll be crushed, yeah, but at least I'll know the truth. If he does, it's obvious what my next meal is going to be (wtf).

Since we're going to church today with Ashton and his family, which is odd considering their sons are gay, I'm going to find a way to pop the question. I invited Katie to come that way things might not be so awkward.

As I finished buttoning my shirt, I heard a knock at the door. I quickly ran down the stairs and opened swung the door open. There stood Katie and, well, Michael.

"Katie!" I pulled her into a hug. "Hey Luke. You remember Michael right?" she motioned toward him. He gave me an awkward smile and a wave and I returned to favor. He spotted Ashton and immediately walked over to him.

"Michael my man!" he gave him a manly hug. Ashton noticed my jealous stare and looked away. After the hug, Ashton leaned over and grabbed Michaels ass. Michael just chuckled and nudged him. My cheeks flushed and my nostrils flared. Katie noticed and touched my shoulder in attempt to calm me down.

"Ready to go?!" I heard my mum scream from upstairs. Ashton's mom walked down the steps with her and they led us outside to the van they rented for all of us kids.

"Lucky we have an extra seat for Michael, yeah?" I laughed, trying to loosen the tension we could all tell was there. Katie laughed at my joke in attempt to have everyone cool down as well.

We all just hopped inside the large vehicle and I purposely plopped next to Ashton. He glared at me and I smiled. He just turned towards the window, as usual.

*Ashton's POV*

"Uh, don't most churches start at ten? It's eight-thirty now?" Katie questioned.

"The nearest church is an hour and a half away, hun." Luke's mom, Liz, replied. All of us kids groaned as the adults just chuckled. Katie snuggled up into the crook of Michael's

neck. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and slightly grinned.

I looked over to Calum and his girlfriend, Adi I think, and see her asleep in his lap as he strokes her hair.

I look over to Luke who is zoned out in his little world with his headphones in. I remember I brought mine as well. So, I plug them into my phone, hit shuffle, and begin to listen. I bob my head to the music and do the den beats to it, especially the chorus.

Hearts on fire, tonight

Feel my bones ignite

Feels like war, war

Feels like war, war

I take out one headphone and look up at Luke. His head moves slightly as well, as I can hear a bit of music through his buds. I heavily sigh and lay my head on his lap. I want to close my eyes and enjoy it, but I don't. I just awkwardly keep my eyes open until he does something. Anything.

Within seconds I hear a faint whisper in my ear;

"I love you Ashton." is what is said.

I sharply gasp and my eyes widen even more. Luke. Luke Hemmings. The boy I've known forever. Said he loves me. I start to breath heavily and he noticed and sits me upright.

"Woah there. You alright, love?" he slightly chuckles. I attempt to go along with his joke but, what comes out is a hyperventilation noise. He begins to panic a little.

"I-i'm okay i-it's just that...I, uh... I l-love you t-too Lukey." I smile. Sweetly, yet awkwardly. He just bites his lip and winks before putting his other headphone back in and facing forward. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting as an ending but, it works. I simply grin and listen to my music full on once more. Enjoying the fact that the boy I've loved forever, I now know he loves me back. The words were simple, but oh so meaningful.

A/N:
