Thank you so much for making my story go to #88 in spiritual
Enjoy reading this chapter ☺️
The street was so deserted that a little bit of noise would echo till far far away.
Suddenly, I heard a girl scream and say, "Please leave me". It was Alizeh's voice. I knew her scream too well.
I searched everywhere in that street, until I finally saw a group of four men harassing a girl. It was Alizeh.
{ ALIZEH'S POV }
As I almost gave up. Knowing there was no hope, no light, no bright side in this dark haunted night. I heard a scream.
"ALIZEEEHH"
It was Amir. He was here. He was here to save me.
"A-amir!", I whisper yelled as my voice was low, very low from the tiring day.
"You son of a bitch!!! How dare you!", he said as he started fighting with all four men.
Amir got hit on his forhead, mouth and back with sticks. It was one against four. The four gangster men seemed to be commited to beat Amir to death tonight.
They beat him, beat him so much he was unable to move. Blood came out from his nose and mouth.
He fell on the floor.
Yet, seconds later he got up. He got up, seeming much stronger. As if he wanted to kill all four of them. His eyes red, filled with anger, guilt and grief.
Despite, being so hurt he still got up and fought.
Tonight, Amir was to fight, fight till his last breath.
It was destiny, that made one man win against four. It was good versus evil. Good always triumphs over the evil.
He did it.
{ AMIR'S POV }
I did it, I beat those bloody idiots so much, they couldn't move.
In front of me, I could see Alizeh on the ground. Tears filled her eyes yet she smiled.
She didn't have her dupatta. Her sleeves were torn. Her leg unable to move. Her kameez that was attempted to be torn.
If I was even a minute late, it would be too late.
Alizeh put her hands on her shoulders as she realized her sleeves were torn. I immediately lowered my gaze.
I saw her black dupatta on the ground and I picked it up.
I walked towards her and she looked away in embarrassment.
I kneeled down and wrapped the black dupatta around her shoulders, to hide the bare skin under her torn sleeves.
"I am sorry for being so late", I apologized as I lifted her up since she was unable to move.
I carried her with eyes looking upwards and away from Alizeh, so she wouldn't feel embarrassed. I could feel Alizeh breathing heavily.
She lifted her head, closed her tears filled eyes and whispered, "Amir, take me back to your mansion. I am sorry you had to hurt yourse-"
I looked down and put my finger on her lips.
"Shh... calm down, we are going back", was all I said.
When I wanted to say that I will never hurt her anymore. I will send her back to Dubai. I will make sure she doesn't see my face after that.
She fell asleep. It was clearly evident that she was very tired.
I finally got out of that deserted street and got into my car. I put her on the front seat as I drove back to the mansion that she wanted to run away from.
"Alizeh... I love you", I whispered as I put her on my bed.
She slept peacefully . I sat beside her on a couch. I was still sick. Blood was still visible on my face. But, I never cared.
Like a moth drawn to flame, I sat beside her when she was asleep.
Even in her sleep, she seemed like she was trying to escape from this hell I had brought her in.
She started putting her hands on her shoulders and waist. As if someone was touching her. She was having a nightmare, she was dreaming of the haunted experience she gained tonight.
Her hands started shaking, as she seemed helpless.
I quickly held her hand and tried to calm her down. The grip of my hands woke her up.
"Don't touch me!", she said as her eyes opened. I let go off my hand.
"It's okay, it's me. You're fine. Nothing has happened to you!", I said.
She got up as she immediately hugged me while sitting on the bed. I subconsciously hugged her back.
"I won't ever leave again", she said with her voice sterned yet masked with pain. She let go off me.
"I will take you back to Dubai, I am sorry. I am sorry for everything ", I said as I realized that we both subconsciously came really close to each other.
Our noses were inch apart. I could see the hazel of her eyes glistening. Her lips quivering.
We kept looking at each other for a good minute. Not once, did even one of us blink.
Her teary eyes kept looking at my guilt filled eyes.
Okay, I thought this was near the end but then I got another idea that would make the story slightly longer 😉
