I knew very well, how badly one can miss their parents.
She called them but they never answered. Tears fell from her eyes.
"It's okay, call them again tomorrow", I said trying to console her.
{ ALIZEH'S POV }
"Why did they not answer my call. Did they forget me! Are they okay?", I thought I mentally whispered while I said it out loud.
"Shh, calm down. It's okay. Call them again tomorrow. Don't worry", he said.
I could see feelings for me in his eyes. Why did he do so much for me? I am nobody to him.
"Amir why do you care about me?", I subconsciously asked. Regretting it all.
He seemed confused. As though he was making up an answer to my question. I regretted asking that but I was curious to find out why.
"I-I umm I care for you", he said.
Why would he care for me?
"I mean I realized my mistake. When I saw you after I kidnapped you I realized that you have no faults", he paused trying to add something to his statement. But that was all he said.
So I was wrong, he didn't have any feelings for me, he only realized his mistakes.
"Amir... I have something to tell you, well something to offer you", I said while biting my lower lip in nervousness as to how he would react to my offer.
"Offer? What offer?"
"I-I can help your father, Jahangir Mirza, get justice.", I paused not knowing how to say the next part of my offer.
"How?"
"I... umm.. well, all you have to do is surrender yourself and then after three months you will be out of jail and I will give my statement of your innocence. And this way, the whole thing will come out... they will find out Jahangir Mirza was not Aalim Abbasi", I said.
His eyes widened and mouth opened. As if I said something very unexpected. As if my words struck him odd.
"But, what if they keep me in jail and-", he said and paused. He started biting his nails, as if he was deeply thinking about what he should do.
"Alizeh, I-I am ready to accept my mistakes and go to jail. I deserve to be in jail. I am your criminal", he said.
I could feel the butterflies in my stomach flutter when he agreed. Only, if I knew how much, how much I would have to pay for this selfish decision of mine.
Wait what! Why did he say that. He is not my criminal!
"Hey... that's not what I meant. I just want your father to get justice. Because till this day he is still known as being guilty, being Aalim Abbasi", I said though it was clearly evident that wasn't the only reason.
I was listening to my foolish mind, that gave me this stupid idea. Only if I had listened to my heart...
{ AMIR'S POV }
"I... umm.. well, all you have to do is surrender yourself and then after three months you will be out of jail and I will give my statement of your innocence. And this way, the whole thing will come out... they will find out Jahangir Mirza was not Aalim Abbasi"
WHAT?!
She wants me to surrender. She wants me to go to jail.
So she really had no feelings for me. I was right, it was all a dream. It was all a fucking dream.
Alizeh hates me. Well, why shouldn't she, she has all rights to hate me. I have ruined her life. I was gonna kill her.
Why did I ever expect her to have feelings for me.
"But, what if they keep me in jail and-", I said and stopped.
She said my father will be proven innocent. Jahangir Mirza won't be known as Aalim Abbasi anymore.
Jahangir Mirza won't be known as Aalim Abbasi anymore.
He will be proven innocent. That's all he ever wanted. That's the least I can do for him.
And I deserve to be in jail anyways.
"Alizeh, I-I am ready to accept my mistakes and go to jail. I deserve to be in jail. I am your criminal", I foolishly agreed to her offer.
Suddenly I saw a slight smile on her face, that she immediately managed to hide.
"Hey... that's not what I meant. I just want your father to get justice. Because till this day he is still known as being guilty, being Aalim Abbasi", she said and added an unconvincing smile.
Alizeh, that's a terrible lie. I know you hate me. I know that giving justice is nearly not even half the reason you gave me the offer. You want me to suffer. You want me to jail.
Then, so be it. I don't have any reason to enjoy life anyways.
"Call Haroon Malik tomorrow, tell him I am ready to surrender", I said and left, slamming the door.
