Ch.19 Campus death

Flying on Vincent's back was pretty similar to his speed, he was fast, but not as fast as on ground so Peyton was able to glimpse around at their surroundings. So as they continued to escape the vampires, the two stopped in front of Peyton's dorm and made sure there weren't any vampires around.

"Okay Peyton get off" Vincent ordered.

"Aw" she pouted as she got off his back "That was fun."

"Let's just get inside."

Once inside, the two sighed in relief when they noticed that Molly and Jimmy were now awake.

"Where the hell have you guys been?" Molly demanded.

"You can say we had a bit of an adventure" Vincent replied.

"I punched Lilith in the face" Peyton announced with a proud smile.

"You what?" she gasped.

"It felt awesome" Peyton grinned.

"Lucky!" she whined.

"Wait why were you with Lilith?" Jimmy spoke up.

"We weren't just with Lilith-" Peyton explained "We almost got attacked by vampires."

"What?!" they gasped.

"We're okay but, they're serious about Vincent getting blood, so we gotta come up with a plan to get blood fast."

"You got any ideas?" Jimmy asked.

"No" she sighed disappointed.

Not only was she disappointed, but she was scared for her life. She knew that if Vincent couldn't give the vampires blood by Saturday, she was most likely going to get killed by them. Her head then started to hurt, she really needed a blood plan.

"Hey wait a minute-" Molly suddenly spoke up, everyone hoping that she was going to announced a good idea "Why don't we use those needles used in blood drives to give our bloods to the vampires? It's much safer."

"Yeah but the vampires are expecting that I get the blood on my own" Vincent put in "Meaning that I have to kill."

"They don't have to know that."

"Well they're gonna find out somehow, they may like wanna see the body as proof."

"Oh damn" Molly gasped.

"Then what do we do then?" Jimmy asked.

As everyone frantically tried to think of an idea, Peyton soon got one.

"Alright-" she announced with a sneaky smile "If they want my blood, and if they expect me to either die or become a vampire, then I'll become a vampire."

"What?!" everyone gasped.

"Peyton I am not going to turn you!" Vincent declared.

"Relax, I'll explain everything tomorrow morning, it's already late, you and Jimmy should probably go now."

"Well uh-" Jimmy spoke up "Can I at least-".

"You can borrow 'Hotel Transylvania'" she offered.

"Thanks."

The next morning after a night of not being able to sleep, Vincent and Jimmy left their dorm and walked down the sidewalk of the warm morning and headed to campus.

"What do you think Peyton's plan is?" Jimmy asked "What do you think she meant by she'll become a vampire?"

"I don't know man" Vincent sighed "I'm just hoping she knows what she's doing."

"Well I swear if she does become a vampire, then that girl's-".

But before he could continue, Vincent suddenly stopped as he caught a scent.

"Vampire near by?" Jimmy questioned.

"No" Vincent replied as he gave another sniff "I smell something... dead."

"Dead?"

Vincent turned his head to where the scent was coming from and pointed to a trash bin.

"It's coming from there" he concluded as they went to the trash bin.

"What do you think it is?" Jimmy asked "Dead raccoon?"

"I don't think so."

And with that he flipped open the bin, and they both shrieked when they saw what the bin had contained.

On the other side of the street, Peyton and Molly made their way down the sidewalk to their campus as Peyton gave a tired yawn.

"I seriously need to take a sleeping pill before bed" she mumbled.

"So what's this plan of yours?" Molly asked, ignoring her statement.

"I'll tell you once we meet up with the guys, and we have to be alone when I tell."

But as they walked down the sidewalk, they soon came upon a sight that made them stop on their tracks. In front of them was a crowd of people with scared looks with an ambulance and police cars in front of their campus.

"What the hell?" Peyton gasped as they jogged to the scene and watched as a body bag got dragged into the back of the ambulance.

"Holy shit" Molly gasped when she saw the bag.

The girls couldn't believe their eyes, someone had died on campus, but who? Peyton then spotted Vincent and Jimmy as they went up to them.

"What the hell happened?" she demanded.

"Jimmy and I found a body in the trash bin" Vincent explained with a sad look as the girls gasped "And you would not believe who it was."

"Who?"

Peyton could already feel her heart breaking, knowing that the person who died was someone she knew.

"Kelly" he replied sadly.

At that point Peyton's heart shattered.

"Kelly?!" she gasped.

"How?!" Molly demanded "What happened?!"

"The cops suspect murder" he explained "And they're right, but I know the whole truth."

"What do you mean?" Peyton asked.

"Before the cops came, Jimmy and I saw two punctured holes in her neck."

Their eyes widen and their jaws dropped.

"Kelly was killed by a vampire" he answered with a sigh "I'm sorry."

Peyton could feel her blood boil with anger and her heart breaking with sadness at the same time. One of the nicest girls she's even met was gone, out of her life, and she was never coming back.

"Wait are you sure she's dead?" Molly sudden asked "She's not like, turned is she?"

"No" he sighed sadly "All of her blood's been drained, she's gone."

Tears started to swell up in Peyton's eyes and clenched her fists in anger.

"We gotta kill these assholes" she declared sternly "We gotta send them back to hell before they kill others. Today is practically our last day to prepare, so you guys wanna finally hear my plan?"
