Later that night, upon the hill where the vampire palace was, the fire had finally been put out as the remains of the palace were the only things that stood put. Not a single sign of life was seen, just piles of ashes and pieces of the burnt palace. That is until movement started to happen under a pile of burnt wood pieces, and out sprung Zack who gasped for air.
Covered in ashes along with burnt marks here and there, he heaved himself out from the pile and crawled through the rubbish while dragging his injured ankle behind. Even though he was immortal and had the ability the heal most pains quickly, he was in so much pain from the fire that his powers were weakening.
By the time he made it to the grass, he stopped crawling as he plopped down on the grass and let out a painful moan.
"What the hell happened here?" a voice suddenly asked as Zack looked up to see a young guy in his twenties looking down at him.
"Are you okay?" he asked Zack.
"Do I look okay to you?" Zack growled.
"Right" the guy replied a bit embarrassed "I don't know why I asked that. So what happened to you?"
"Fire" Zack breathed "My family's dead, I don't know who survived."
"Well you seem to be the only one alive at this moment, but that could just be your immortality."
At that point it caught Zack's attention.
"Wait how did you know about that?" he asked the guy.
"I know a vampire's sent."
Now Zack was even more surprised.
"I suppose you're not human then" he concluded "What are you? My senses are kinda weak at the moment."
"My name's Carson, and before I tell you what I am, I need to know, what caused the fire?"
"A group" Zack growled "Two of them were vampires, and the other three were humans. They destroyed this place, my only home."
"Well that sucks" Carson stated as he gave a chuckle "Get it, sucks?"
"It's not funny" Zack frowned.
"Okay. Well um, I should get you somewhere to heal."
He then carefully helped Zack up who winched in pain as he hopped on his one good foot as Carson steadied him.
"Hey can you promise me something?" Zack asked.
"Sure what?"
"After I get healed, can you help me get revenge on the group who did this?"
"What's in it for me?"
"I'll think of something."
"Well when you know tell me, and then I'll tell whether I want to or not. Although it should be easy for me, I can easily go against a vampire, because they don't have what it takes to go against a werewolf."
At that point Zack gave a sneaky smile.
"I had a feeling" he admitted.
And with that Carson helped him down the hill and began to head off.
Well that's the end of this book, I hope you all enjoyed it. Now you can tell that there's going to be a sequel, but I don't know when that will happen. I'm gonna work on a new original story after this so it may take a while until the sequel, but stay tuned. I really enjoyed writing this story and can't wait to share more. Have a good day :)
