Rhiannon: Chapter 19

RHIANNON'S VIEW

'Rhi, are you sure you're feeling alright?' I nodded and sat down on my bed. It felt good to be back, I wouldn't say home because it no longer had that feeling now that my dad had left. My mum smiled and I looked back at her blankly.

'Rhiannon I'm-'

'I don't want to hear it.' I said and looked away from her, she sighed and the doorbell went so she went to answer the door.

'Rhi! It's for you!' She shouted up the stairs, I sighed and got off the bed and went downstairs. Malik smiled once he saw me and I looked towards the floor.

'You alright?' I nodded and he came closer to hug me but I moved away and he frowned.

'Have I done something?' He asked.

'I don't want anything to do with your family so that includes ... you.' He slowly started shaking his head. I knew he wouldn't take this well but his whole family are nothing but trouble.

'I don't understand Rhiannon.'

'Malik, we wouldn't work anyway, our mums aren't speaking and I know mine doesn't want anything to do with your mum.'

'But we aren't our parents! It's me and you not us and them.'

'Malik you aren't understanding me, I don't want to be with you.' He clenched his jaw and looked away from me.

'I will never understand why but if that's what you want.'

'It's just until things calm down, I don't need the stress of a relationship-'

'WHAT STRESS?' He interrupted, I could tell he was getting angrier now.

'I'm going through A LOT right now, my parents have split up Malik do you really think I need this right now?'

'Nah, you're just as selfish as your mum. You aren't the ONLY person that's going through shit. My dad could be getting a fucking life sentence and my mum is depressed, your parents just split up they're both perfectly fine!' He shouted and then I realised just how selfish I was being. I sighed and looked at him.

'I'm sorry, you're right, I'm being selfish.'

'Us splitting up is what you want though-'

'No it isn't, I just thought it would be best but it obviously isn't... we need each other. I need you.' I said and moved closer to him, he rested his forehead on mine and kissed the top of my nose.

'And I need you but Rhi we have to try if we want this to work.'

'Yeah, you're right.' I smiled and he slowly started kissing me, boy am I glad I woke up for this. ;) Just then I heard my mum clearing her throat and we pulled apart, someone always came in at the wrong time!

'Sorry, I'm just going out for a few hours, will you be alright on your own Rhi?' I nodded and she grabbed the keys off the side and left closing the door behind me. As soon as the door closed Malik looked me up and down and licked his lips slowly.

'No... what if MY dad comes in this time?' I said and he backed me up against the wall and started kissing my neck.

'Malik... seriously.'

'It's been ages though and I know you want to.' Hell to the yes.

'That's not the point... what if I get pregnant?' He ignored me and his hands moved up my legs and started lifting up my top. I rolled my eyes and pushed him off.

'Are you even listening? This is serious.'

'What?'

'I said what if I get pregnant, what would we do?' He shrugged and scratched his head.
