RHIANNON'S VIEW

The situation was no different 6 days later. They still hadn't found Amelle and nobody had heard from her, even I was starting to get worried but I had to stay positive for Malik. We were sitting on his bed when my dad walked in and gave us both a small smile.

'You both alright?' He asked, I nodded at looked at Malik who was busy staring at the floor. I hated him being like this but I didn't blame him his sister that he'd just started getting along with and trying to build a relationship had gone missing. There was no trace of her anywhere. Vanessa had been staying with Krystal and her sister Carla whilst the police searched and looked around her house to see if there was anyone who had forced their way in. That was how I knew it was serious. Amelle wouldn't run away, she had nothing else. All of her things were at the house so she couldn't have gone, she wouldn't.

'Mal, your dad knows about Amelle.' He looked up slowly.

'What did he say ?'

'He's upset, he didn't really say much. The police still haven't found anything and they don't know anything else.' Malik sighed and I rubbed his arm.

'And Rhi, lemme talk to you outside a minute.' Dad said and I got off the bed and closed the door behind us. He had his jaw clenched and he looked at me.

'Did you know your mum's baby wasn't mine and please do not lie.' I looked around avoiding his eyes, what was I supposed to say? Yes? I couldn't lie to him, he'd had enough of that already.

'Yes but dad-'

'YOU KNEW?!'

'DAD, LISTEN! Mum didn't tell you for a reason.' He laughed and shook his head.

'There you go protecting her, she lied about being the baby being mine Rhiannon do you even understand how that makes me feel?'

'She lied for a reason!'

'Now tell me what could have made her tell such a lie, that's disgusting-'

'Dean raped her. He forced her into having an abortion once he beat you up and she had to lie and tell you she miscarried so that you didn't do something stupid! For once, she wasn't being selfish! She was protecting YOU dad.' I said and he looked towards the floor, his eyes were wide with shock and he shook his head in disbelief.

'Rhiannon... I don't know what to say.'

'Just know that she lied for a good reason, she made me swear not to tell you so that you didn't go after him dad, she loves you.' Maybe, just maybe this would help their relationship? He scratched the side of his head and leaned against the wall.

'I don't believe this... she was keeping this in the whole time?' I nodded and he jogged down the stairs and moments later I heard the front door shut. I went back into Malik's room and saw him laying down on his bed. I laid down next to him and he plaed with my hair whilst looking into my eyes.

'I love you yanoe Rhi.' I smiled and kissed him.

'I love you too, what's brought this on?'

'Can't I express my feelings?'

'You can it was just random.'

'I know, Amelle disappearing was random too so I want you to know no matter what happens I'll always love you, yeah?' I smiled and he pulled me nearer to him so our noses were touching.

'Now cos I was so nice, I know a way you could be nice back.' He said and smirked, I rolled my eyes and he started laughing.

'It's your birthday soon.' He said to me and I grinned, yup I'm turning 17. Thank God! This whole year has been a mess and college seemed to be a step in a new direction for me. I was late starting but, these things happen.
