The Sins of Liones Academy

Chapter Four

As time passed Elizabeth found herself falling into a schedule. She'd go to her classes, wave to Meliodas in the halls and then sit down at the empty table in the lunchroom. She'd pull out her math homework and get a start on it and fifteen minutes later Meliodas would sit across from her. Then they'd play twenty questions, trying to get to know each other.

"OK it's my turn, why do you call me princess?" Elizabeth asked, her curiosity behind the nickname Meliodas sometimes used while talking to her.

"Hmm well your dad owns the school, so he's kinda like the 'king' of the castle. And since you're his daughter that'd make you a princess right? So therefore you're the princess of Liones Academy"
Meliodas explained "my turn, why were you really sitting alone that day"

Elizabeth paused and sighed "well truth is my supposed friend Vivian was only using me because my dad had money. I found out, and who wants to be friend's with someone like that?" She shrugged it off like it was no big deal but there was hurt in her eyes. "Why do students call you the 'Sin of Wrath'?"

"Done some digging have you?" Meliodas asked raising an eyebrow. Elizabeth blushed lightly. "Well, the reason I'm at this school is because I was expelled from my previous one Danaforth High."

"Danaforth High? Wasn't that the high school that was completely destroyed a few years ago?"

"Yep. And that was kinda sorta my fault" Meliodas said rubbing the back of his head with a grin.

"What!?!?"

"There was a gas leak, I had a lighter..." he trailed off and just shrugged.

"...you're kidding?" Elizabeth mumbled uncertainty

"Of course." Meliodas said in a nonchalant tone. Elizabeth sighed in relief and then Meliodas continued "the fire didn't destroy the school it was the sinkhole"

"...so you set your school on fire?" Elizabeth asked feeling rather light headed.

"Yep pretty much" Meliodas nodded, Elizabeth groaned and set her head on the table. "My turn, why does your hair always cover your eye?"

"Huh?" Elizabeth mumbled looking up from the table "my hair? It uhh well for one thing I like it like this and for another," she sighed and lifted up her bangs showing Meliodas her right eye.

"...your eye... it-"

"Shush don't say it out loud! The walls have ears" she sighed letting her bangs fall back into place as she glanced at her previous table. "Well now you know. My turn-" she was cut off by the ringing of the bell "or not, see you tomorrow?" She asked smiling at Meliodas.

"Sure, uhh actually I was wondering if it would be okay if one of my friends joined us tomorrow?" Meliodas asked hesitantly.
Elizabeth thought for a moment and then smiled.

"Sure the more the merrier right?" She answered cheerfully before heading to her next class.
