Chapter 7

{AN: seriously don't get A's to why some chapters have less views then those after it. Like how does that work? Do some of you just skip chapters? Well anyway, here's chapter seven guys!}

It had been a week since he'd last seen Elizabeth, five days since the authorities officially announced the disappearance of the Liones family, and Meliodas was going crazy.

"What if she's hurt! What if she's out there somewhere in a ditch, bleeding and hurt!" Meliodas ranted as he paced back and forth in front of Hawk who was sitting on the couch looking exasperated. "What if she needs me! I have to find her Hawk!"

"Give it a rest already will ya?" Hawk complained "we have customers," he said gesturing to the stairs that led to the main level of their home. Downstairs the bar was as loud and as busy as always, Meliodas sighed and nodded before sitting down, before jolting back up again.

"But what if-"

"Enough Meliodas!" Hawk interrupted "we're all worried about Elizabeth, but worrying doesn't help Elizabeth right now!" Meliodas was silent for a moment before nodding and taking a deep breath. "Come on Meliodas, let's go downstairs" Hawk suggested, leading his older brother down the stairs.

It was nearly midnight and Hawk and Meliodas were still cleaning up the bar. They'd closed about half an hour ago but it was a pretty big mess. Meliodas looked up when he heard the front door open.

"Sorry sir but we're close-" he stopped staring at the figure in front of him. Cloaked in odd clothes, with a hat pulled over their head, was a strangely familiar figure. "Uhh... can I help you?" he asked after a moment, reaching under the bar table for the gun hidden there. The figure swayed for a moment and then collapsed onto the ground. Meliodas immediately hopped over the bar table and ran towards the collapsed figure. "Hey are you okay!" he exclaimed worriedly, gently picking the stranger up, he caught a look at their face and nearly dropped them. He gently held the stranger closer and rushed upstairs "Hawk get the first aid kid!" he shouted as he passed his younger brother on the way upstairs. He ran up the stairs and set the stranger down gently on the spare bed. He took off the ridiculous hat and gently undid the long coat, almost laughing in relief. "Elizabeth" he murmured, feeling as though a huge weight had just been lifted from his chest. Hawk entered the room carrying a first aid kit.

"Meliodas, is that Elizabeth!!!" Hawk exclaimed, dropping the first aid kit.

"Hawk, go call the others" Meliodas said instead of answering as he grabbed the first aid kit. He took a closer look at Elizabeth's condition and was relieved to see she appeared fine besides some minor scratches and bruises. Hawk hesitated and then left grabbing his brother's cell, he called Diane first knowing that if he didn't she'd probably kill him. Meliodas gently applied bandages to Elizabeth's cuts and hesitantly took her hand. "Don't worry Elizabeth, you're safe now" he murmured, placing a small kiss on her hand. "I've got you Elizabeth, so wake up soon okay?"

An hour had passed and not a single one of them had shown up yet.

"Where are they?" Meliodas asked angrily "they should be here by now"

"Maybe- maybe they're busy?" Hawk suggested looking down at the still unconscious Elizabeth.

"Maybe..." Meliodas trailed off thinking to himself when Elizabeth jerked up suddenly.

"Gun!" She shouted breathing hard as Meliodas jumped up.

"Sh Liz, you're safe now" he soothed her cautiously as the silver haired girl stared at him for a moment.

"M-Meliodas" she stuttered as tears welled in her eyes, after a week of constant fear, seeing that familiar blond hair was enough to drive her over the edge. Her shoulders began to shake as tears streamed down her cheeks. "M-M-Meliodas" she sobbed and the blond's heart felt like it was breaking. He wrappEd his arms around her and held her close.

"Sh Liz I've got you, you're safe now" Meliodas murmured to her, holding her as she cried. "You're safe now"
