Chapter Ten

Meliodas sighed worriedly as he checked his messages again. Still nothing.

"C'mon guys, where are you?" he murmured to himself as he called Diana yet again, only to reach her voicemail.

"Meliodas?" Elizabeth asked softly "Is something wrong?"

"It's nothing" he murmured, looking at the white haired girl "how you feeling?"

"Lots better now," Elizabeth said with a smile "are we going back to school tomorrow?" She asked sitting up with a yawn.

"I dont think its a good idea Liz" Meliodas told her "we need to find the others and figure out whose trying to hurt you and your family. Until your safe, we should keep out of places youd usually go". Elizabeth nodded, then sighed and stood up and stretched.

"Do you uh have any spare clothes I can borrow?" She asked and Hawk looked up from his phone.

"Oh man you're going to regret asking" he told her.

"Uhh" Elizabeth said awkwardly as she looked at the clothes in the mirror "this uniforms a little small on me. Are you sure you don't have any bigger sizes?"

"Completely positive" Meliodas said eyeing Elizabeth with appreciation.

"Pervert" Hawk grumbled, rolling his eyes and looking back at his phone.

Elizabeth sighed, this certainly wasn't the attire she was used to. But she was grateful for the change of clothes so she wouldn't complain. She turned back towards the boys "right, what next?" She asked looking at Meliodas.

"Well..." he hesitated "for now I think we should find the others, so I'm going to school tomorrow."

"But- i thought you said no school" Elizabeth protested frowning.

"I said no school for you until your safe" Meliodas countered with a small smile "besides we need information, and there's no better place for gossip than a school hallway. You'll have to stay here with Hawk" 

"But I want to help" Elizabeth protested, she didnt want to stay cooped up here.

"And you will be, you'll be helping Hawk pack!" Meliodas told her.

"Pack? For what?" She asked "we cant leave, what about my family?!"

"Look Liz, I promise we'll find your family and take down whoever did this to you. But as of right now, we have no info and you're not safe here." He said softly "now please start helping Hawk make a list of all the things we'll need. I have to go prep. I have school tomorrow" he grinned good naturally and then left the room and went upstairs to his own. Tomorrow, he'd find the others. Tomorrow, he'd keep Elizabeth safe. But for today, he was exhausted. Tomorrow could wait, for now.

I have an 8 hour car ride today so I'm going to be writing and maybe publishing more than one update! I'm also gonna keep going with this story until I finish it!  I might even start another fanfic!
