Chapter 24: Im April

January 1st. Monday
I was walking into school with the rest of my friends and talking about how our New Years holiday was. Yep it was 2018 and we all changed a little. Jessica was actually nicer.. she still had her attitude. Sometimes me and her would even bicker to annoy the boys, but we were cool. We were all walking to our fourth period class. It was Matthew then Jessica, walking besides each other hold hands. Next to them was Isaac, annoying me with his stupid smirk, then it was me and Jordan. I was wearing the sweater Jordan gave me even. He had his arm around my shoulder, he even flicked Isaac a couple of times for bothering me. Then next to Jordan was Madison, once again not wearing her uniform. We walked down the hall laughing, we got a few stares from people, but I quickly knew what to do. I waved at people and showed them a big smile. That's who I really was. Not an emotionless human. People waved at us and said hi, with not a hint of nervousness. I tucked my hair behind my ear, continuing down the hall to class with the "Lucky six".

And that's my story of high school. I'm April Jones, the new and improved.

You're probably wondering, what happened to Principal James? Well he didn't make it to New Year. He had passed away, apparently he had a sickness and by the time he found it was too late. And for Samantha, she didn't really show up anymore. I did visit her grave though, I even invited her parents for dinner once. I apologized to her parents, for abandoning her but they told me not to. They said they found a letter written by her, about why she did what she did. She didn't mention any one of us. But, now that's officially my story.
