Prison Walls

She built up her prison walls

Now I just have to knock them down

Her walls seemed impenetrable

But I'll find their Achilles Heel

A crack in the glass

A hole in the wood

A tiny chip in the paint

A fault in the design

She acts like she doesn't care

But deep down behind that tinted glass

Is a broken girl, crying for help

On the outside, she is happy

But is inside, she is screaming

She smiles but it doesn't reach her eyes

They are full of something else

They are the gates to her prison

You must see past them to save her

She built up her prison walls

Now I have to knock them down

I need to save her from herself

Truth is, I love that girl

You can see in her eyes she needs savin'

She's beautiful

Perfectly imperfect

She built up her prison walls

To keep from getting hurt

I need to knock them down

So I can tell her how I feel

Those scars

Are way more than skin deep

They cut straight down to the soul

Prison walls separated us

Let the window bars be broken

This is a prison break!

I will knock the whole place down

Just to save her, from herself

I don't care what they say

She built those prison walls

Now I'm gonna knock them down

Make them too broken to fix

She locked herself up

And threw away the key

I found the key

Gonna save my love

And show her this was meant to be

They say she's too far gone

I don't believe them

Because I knocked down her prison walls

I found the crack in the glass

Located the hole in the wood

And I pointed out the chip in the paint

Figured out the fault in their design
