Anorexia is like that bitch

That used to push you off

The swing set as a kid.

If you show any weakness

She won't ever fuck off

She's that crazy ex that we all have

The one that is always calling 

Just trying to get to you

That kept every single photo

And stalked your every move

Anorexia, I wrote you a letter

And titled it 'Dear Anorexia'

I wrote down every bad thing

You've ever done to me

Then ended it with a pretty little 'Fuck you'

You made me feel worthless

I craved perfection and you lured me in

I made a deal with the devil 

Who was whispering softly to me

You made sure that

I had no strength to fight

You were nothing more 

Than a wolf in sheep's clothing

You told me everything I needed to be thin

You filled my head with darkness

And vanquished all light in my heart

With a quick motion you were in full control

Every morning I woke up in pain

But all you said was "Darling, beauty is pain."

I can't believe I actually believed you

As you slowly poisoned my brain

You flooded my entire body

Drowning my self-confidence and self-esteem

And replacing it with self-doubt and self-hatred
