The title of this poem is love
Let me just say this now
If I were to describe it in one word
Complicated
One minute you're like
Oh my
Where have you been all my life?
And
I can talk to you forever honey-pie
But the next moment its
...
Why do I know you again?
I mean really
Its infuriating
You just look down at your figurative heart and think
What are you creating?
You just sit there waiting
Expecting your heart to start elaborating
The ping in you chest
When you see
Him
And everything around
Starts to dim
'cause he's just there
Can't stop smiling
Because there's a chance ever so slim
That you love him
And he loves you too
But the mind gets to work
Overthinking things
That he doesn't like you back
And it always brings
A pain to you heart
The no matter the way you're looking at it
Its slowly ripping you apart
Inside then out
But he gives you that smile
And at that very moment
All the other thoughts go into exile
Unable to look away
From the shinning thing on his face called a smile
Overwhelmed with so many emotions
You blert out
"I love you!"
The realize your mistake
And your chest it aches
It hurts so much its as if you heart brakes
As if you've done something wrong
As if your feelings will never belong
Looking away you say "forget it"
A frown on you face is the only thing you can emit
Hands wrap around your body
Embracing you in a tight hug
He pulls back with a shy smile
Just like you
Barely a whisper
"I love you too"
