Since Sanjana wanted to save her leave for marriage, she is coming home only on weekends. And Niranjana was in an assumption that the week days will be boring. But she never knew how the days are flying.
She was saying the same to her dad. Sitting in Garden and sipping the coffee leisurely she said "I never knew how four days went away dad. Its Thursday evening already. When is Sanju coming? Tomorrow or Saturday morning?"
"Sridhar is bringing Sanju on weekends. So they will be coming tomorrow evening. They are planning to cover their personal invite this week end? What is your plan Niru?" asked her dad.
"I am also planning to invite my friends this week end dad. But since my Old Scooter is disposed, I don't know how to do that. I am thinking to book a cab. But I need whole two days."
"Hmm... Booking a Cab can be one possible solution. If I am free, I can take you around"
Niranjana laughed at dad "No way Dad. I am meeting all my friends after a long time and planning to spend some time with them. If you come, we may not discuss freely." She winked at him and her dad chuckled at her response
"So you don't want an oldie to accompany?" Niranjana smiled and said in an apologizing voice "Something like that. Sorry about that Dad"
"No Issues." He suddenly brightened at seeing someone. She turned to check on that and tensed to see Ranjan coming towards them.
"Good Evening Uncle" greeted Ranjan as he took a chair.
"Good Evening Ranjan. Has Bala come back home?" asked her dad already missing his friend.
"No uncle. Mom and Dad are back only on Monday. The marriage is tomorrow and they are starting back on Sunday. I have come to see Niranjana. We discussed to invite her friends for Sanjana's marriage this week end. I have come to check on her plans."
Oh Crap. Niranjana totally forgot that and she is cursing herself. To her dismay her dad added laughingly "That's wonderful. We were just discussing that and I think both our problems are solved. Niru don't want an oldie like me to accompany and I was worried for her to go alone to all places."
"No Dad. Ranjan is already spending his time to go to shopping with us. Let's not burden him more. He need to take care of his business." Niranjana know her excuse sounds pathetic, but she wanted to give one more try.
"No need to worry. I am free on weekends and don't have any problems to take you around". Ranjan's casual answer satisfied her dad and he closed the topic
"That's settled then. Niru make your list so it will be easy for Ranjan too." Niranjana didn't have any other option but to agree.
How dare he casually play with her life? Niranjana felt like hitting him with something.
"Don't! Ranjan told her. She gasped to look at him. Oh! How she wished to wipe out that smirk from his face.
"What Don't Ranjan?" Niranjana's father asked him with a frown.
"I am telling Niranjana not to find some more excuse of not burdening me uncle."
Niranjana very well know that he is simply lying and also know that he knows that she understood that. Why in the world did he have to shift opposite to their house? Did she have to get separated from her family again for higher studies? She felt it was less torturous comparing to see him every day. She silently took a resolution on that.
