A/N : This is gonna be V E R Y angsty, like, "I wouldn't blame you if you didn't read this" angsty. If you're already having a bad day, PLEASE don't read this. I'm literally trying my hardest to make you feel bad reading this because it's been a while since I've tried to pull out some raw emotion from my readers. Again, if you aren't prepared to feel deeply sad or recall memories of someone at a hospital, TURN BACK NOW!
If you're still here, you're a brave soul and I can appreciate that about you. I apologize in advance for crushing your heart.
But, not all stories have a happy ending.
And uh, strong language warning.

It was supposed to be a fun vacation out with the family.
You sighed, crossing your arms and staring out at the open sea. Your dad clamored to you on about how expensive it was to rent out this, questionable yacht, still loosely holding a fishing rod in his hand.
"Come on sweetie! We're not gonna have this boat forever! Come join me!" He suggested, patting the empty space beside him. You simply shook your head, looking back out at the water. Your father let out an annoyed grunt, turning his back to you. You saw your mom sitting above you, resting her feet on the flying bridge and casually sunbathing. You looked down at your phone and checked the time.
"Hey mom?" You yelled up at her. She lowered her sunglasses to look at you.
"Yes sweetie?" She smiled down at you.
"Shouldn't we be heading back now? Rentals have to be returned at five, it's 4:30 right now." You asked. You saw her open her mouth to respond but your father quickly cut in.
"We're not leaving until I catch something. They can wait a couple more minutes." Your father boomed, turning back to his fishing rod. You opened your mouth to protest, but stopped.
'There's really no use arguing with him.' You thought. You laid down on the deck, looking up at the sky. You closed your eyes, deciding to take a nap to until you returned to the mainland, the sounds of the waves softly hitting the boat lulling you to sleep.
You woke up when your head hit the deck, startling you awake. You looked up at the sky, seeing that it had become a threatening gray, as opposed to the sky blue you saw before taking your nap. You promptly looked down as raindrops pelted your face, one managing to get in your eye.
"(Y/N), get in here NOW!" Your mother's panicked shriek sliced through the air, making you hastily whip around to look for her. Your gaze locked onto the cabin windows, your mom staring back at you with wide eyes. You sprinted towards the cockpit, quickly glancing back at the sea one more time.
The sea had become a raging torrent, eager to swallow anything that dared stay in its way. The choppy waves made the boat violently buckle back and forth. As the boat collided with another wave, the boat buckled again, making you lose your balance and fall against the slick deck. Salt water sprayed into your eyes, blinding you as you tried to crawl to the cabin door. You felt a pair of hands grab your shoulders and roughly pull you into the cabin.
"Sweetie, are you ok? Are you hurt?" Your mother rambled, pulling you into a hug. You nodded shakily, looking back outside at the storm. Thunder boomed around the boat, causing you both to scream in surprise, the windows doing nothing to stop the noise from coming in. You quickly grabbed onto a handlebar as the boat buckled again, only this time with much more force. As your body jolted back from the impact, causing your grip on the handlebar to loosen and send you crashing to the ground. You eyes widened in horror as you saw your father's body catapulted across the bow railing and into the raging waters. You screamed out in agony, calling out for your father again and again.
