Crush x Reader : Frostbite

You hummed as you walked towards the park, the cold December air nipping at your nose. It was pretty cold outside, a little below freezing and despite it being December, it was actually snowing. A soft drizzle of snowflakes, falling slowly from the sky. You giggle when one fell on your nose. You were extremely happy, (C/N) had officially asked you on a date. You had liked him for a LONG, LOOOONG time, and him asking you out was like getting a puppy for your birthday. You remembered that Friday when you and him happened to be alone. He had asked you if you wanted to hang out Saturday, and since it was (C/N), you gladly accepted.

And here you were, standing in front of the park, a wide grin on your face. You walked in, running over to the place that (C/N) said he would meet you at. You looked for (C/N), sitting down on a bench close by. You checked your phone to see if (C/N) had texted you.

Nothing.

You quickly texted him.

'Hey, I'm here, where r u?'

No response. You let out a quiet sigh.

'Maybe he's just left a little late?'

You thought. You waited for about  an hour.

Still no sign of (C/N).

You cursed under your breath.
'Did I get stood up?' You thought, then shook your head.

'No, (C/N) doesn't seem like the type of guy to do that...Did he forget?'

You felt a pang of hurt in your chest. You glanced around again. You felt yourself tearing up. You slowly got up and dragged yourself towards your house. You felt as if someone had shot you in the heart. You trusted (C/N), something you don't normally do with people. And now, he smashed your heart into pieces.

"(Y/N)?"

It was him. (C/N). You couldn't let him see you like this. There were tears streaming down your cheeks and you were a sniffling mess.

"(Y/N)!!" You heard (C/N) yell again, starting to walk towards you. Without thinking, you ran into the forest beside you. Branches whipped at your side, the winter wind blowing at your face, sending shivers down your back.

"(Y/N), wait!!!" You heard (C/N) yell behind you.

"Stay away from me!!!" You yelled back.

Suddenly, you felt the ground drop below you, sending you on a downward spiral. You hit a hard surface and slid, stomach first. The pain threatened to make you black out but the adrenaline pumping through your veins kept you awake. You slowly got up, ready to launch yourself further away from (C/N). You stopped when you saw that there was ice under your feet. You looked around, panic flaring in your chest. You saw (C/N) running down the hill, stopping at the edge of the frozen lake. He looked at the lake, then back at you, his (C/E/C) eyes reflecting your panic.

"(Y/N), stay there, I'm going to get you." (C/N) said slowly.

"NO! Please don't come over here!" You begged, trying to shuffle away. You both froze when the ice below you cracked.

"(Y/N), please.." (C/N) said calmly. You started walking again slowly. You stared at your end goal, a rocky bank a couple of yards away.

"(Y/N)!" (C/N) yelled, spooking you. Your foot slipped, causing you to slam into the ice. You were suddenly plunged into icy cold water. You heard (C/N) yelling for you above the surface, his voice sounding fuzzy. You tried to swim back up to the hole in the ice, but the current made you drift. You desperately banged your fists on the ice above you, your limbs becoming more and more numb by the second. Your lungs burned for air, your limbs went limp. You started sinking towards the bottom of the lake. Your vision was getting blurry, which eventually lead to darkness.
