Crush X Reader : Tracing

***A/N : This is based off of a Tumblr post so if it sounds familiar, I'm sorry. I've ran out of ideas at the moment but I'm on a creative grind right now so I have to put out something :') HOWEVER, I've tried to change it up as much as possible so yeah, hope you enjoy!

You tapped your foot on the ground impatiently, watching the soccer/football field sternly. Your gaze locked onto (C/N) as lapped around the field yet again, surrounded by his teammates. You sighed, resting your arms on top of the fence and arching your aching back into a more comfortable position. You took a quick glance at your phone.

'Practice should've ended 15 minutes ago.'  You thought, frowning. You looked back up as you heard the bustling soccer/football players moving closer to you. Your eyes lit up as you saw (C/N), looking away as the other players passed you. You tried to scowl at (C/N) as he walked up to you.

"You're late again (C/N). If I knew you were gonna be late like this, I would've waited in the cool car." You grumbled, wiping the sweat off of your forehead.

"Sorry, coach made us practice extra for losing the game yesterday. You can have some of my water though, it'll help you cool down." (C/N) panted, smiling apologetically and handing you his water bottle. You felt your heart melt at his sincerity, making you drop your scowl. You shook your head, pushing the water bottle back with your hand.

"It's fine, you need it more than me anyway." You smiled back at him. "Just don't stink up my car with your sweat, ok?" You teased, patting him on the shoulder as you made your way to your car.  (C/N) followed your lead as you climbed into the driver's seat. You looked over as the car bounced under his weight as he plopped down in the passengers seat beside you. You tried not to focus on (C/N)'s heavy breathing as you turned the key in the ignition. You quickly turned on the radio to distract yourself from (C/N)'s pants, turning your eyes to the road. You and (C/N) stayed silent as you drove off of the school campus.

"So.." (C/N) started. You rose your eyebrows and hummed, your eyes still glued to the road.

"I just wanted to say thank you for putting up with me and driving my sweaty face home every day. Like, I really do appreciate you and everything you do for me (Y/N). "(C/N) spoke, his voice thick with sincerity. You turned to face him, staring at him in awe. You snapped out of your trance as you heard the honking of  a car in front of you. You screamed out a curse and swerved back to your lane, barely missing the oncoming traffic. You let out a heavy sigh, letting the back of your head fall against your seat.

"(Y/N), are you.. ok?" (C/N) asked slowly, his voice tinted in concern. You gulped as you stopped at an intersection. You flashed a quick smile.

"I'm fine, it's just that.. it's been a long day. I'm tired."  You chuckled back weakly. You turned back to the road and continued driving. However, you still could see (C/N)'s face from the corner of your eye. His brow furrowed and he bit his bottom lip, still looking unconvinced.

"You seem a little too tired. Have you been sleeping alright?" he prodded, watching your face closely with a stern look as you pulled into his driveway. You frowned, looking at his (C/E/C) colored eyes that bore into yours, making your breath hitch.

"I um I, I just uh.." You sputtered out, dumbfounded by (C/N)'s tense expression. You quickly looked down at your hands in your lap, rubbing them together anxiously.

"It's just.. after I drop you off at your house, I drive straight to work. Since I get there a little late, I work a little later than normal. And then, I have to do my homework and all.." You chuckled nervously. You looked back up at (C/N) who was frowning at you.

"You should've told me sooner (Y/N), now I feel bad!" (C/N) sighed, a weak smile on his face. You flashed a small smile back at him.

"Sorry." You squeaked. You saw (C/N)'s face light up as he turned to face you.
