If you're going to ask how's my life with my two roommates, It's the worst! I never had a good night sleep last night because I needed to deal with their questions about my relationship with Mervin.

Paulit-ulit kong sinasabing magkakilala lang kami because of my Tita Merced. Hindi naman sila naniniwala! They insisted we had something. Who knows what that something was? Ayoko na lang tanungin.

The next day, I was half-asleep. Noon ko lang nalaman na kailangan palang alas sais pa lang ay nasa field na for the everyday routine. The flag ceremony, Panatang Makabayan, prayer and the exercise were held in front of the school.

Hindi 'to nabanggit kahapon ni Mervin!

I should have known.

I'll strangle Mervin to death if I saw him!

"Let's start our ceremony to be held by Jonabet Eusebio, grade nine's representative," ani isang lalaking guro na naka-amerikano.

A petite girl, tan and serious-faced walked at the platform with a microphone on her hand. Nang magsimula na ang kanta, I was mesmerized by her voice. Nakakaantok!

The Panatang Makabayan was performed by a small guy with a nerdy eyeglass. Then came the part which I hated lalo na ngayong wala akong masyadong tulog – the exercise.

I was fighting the urge to fall asleep when someone slaps me on the back lightly. I was ready to scold whoever that was when I realize Mervin was at my side already.

"Hardly slept last night?" he whispered, trying to follow the routine lead by a group of dancers.

"Thanks to my roommates and their questions about us," I said then rolled my eyes. I did the routine without realizing. The lively music helped me wake up.

He chuckled and asked, "What about us? Are you convinced that we make a good couple now?" I had the urge to slap him at his shoulder – which I did – and then laugh. Ganito ba talaga siya tuwing umaga? Sinasapian.

"What the hell, Mervin? Are you on your right mind right now?" I focused my attention in front. Bigla kasi akong nailang na magkatabi kami ngayon. What the hell, right? This is Mervin we're talking about – the guy who makes my blood boils.

He shrugged. "Maybe I barely even slept last night as well. Ikaw kasi..." I looked at him confused and then in front again. I had a slight idea of what he's going to say but I pushed that idea aside. I've had enough about him asking about the two of us.

"Why are you blaming me? Wala naman akong ginawa."

"Yes, you did. Hindi ko alam kung bakit umiikot ka sa isip ko kagabi, trying to invade every sense I have." And there he really said it.

That's the kind of guy he is!

"Thank you for participating, students. You may now proceed to the dining hall for your breakfast."

We barely know each other, we're still strangers to each other, and then this?
