Small notes:

You never know who you're hurting when you do something out of the ordinary. For example, when you fake laugh at something your best friend said. They know that you're fake laughing to make them feel good about them selves.

They've known you for most of your life, or at least mine has, they know your actually laugh. You're making them feel stupid and, sometimes, they will feel worse if you fake laugh than they would have if you just smiled.

You may be thinking right now, so what? What does it matter if I fake laugh at an obviously terrible joke? What's the worse that will happen? Here's my answer: feelings build up. It may not mean anything now but when they need an example to hate you, they will grasp at any straws they can find. Figure it out yourself.

I have a friend, let's call her... #1. She always fake laughs and it makes me feel awful. It's not like she's only done it once or twice either, no, no, no. She does it far more often than she has to. It makes me not want to talk to her.
