Half an hour later we have twenty pancakes made... Josh decided that he wasn't gonna even go to school and just stay home with me. We both sit down at his table and he starts to dig into the delicious looking pancakes. "Why don't you eat?" He asks. "I'm not very hungry... I'm actually trying to lose a bit of weight and the diet I'm on makes me gag at the sight at most food. I shrug. "Hey, Josh, where are your parents?" I ask, suddenly realizing I haven't seen them at all. He looks down for a second then back up to me. "About three years ago my parents were driving home from a one week vacation. I stayed home because of school, of course. I got a call from a random number, I decided to pick it up in case it was one of them. They were an hour late so I was already a bit worried about them.
Once I answered I heard a voice on the other end telling me that they were sorry. I was confused until I heard two words that destroyed my life. "Car crash". It repeated in my head for the rest of the night. Family came over the next morning and asked if I wanted to move in with them. I mean, I had to. It's the law but I didn't want to. I spent a year with my aunt and absolutely hated it. I convinced her to let me stay in my house and she would pay the bills and I would pay for my food and whatever else I needed. Since that moment I realized that I couldn't be the way that I was. I was sick and disgusting.
"I had banged nearly every girl in my grade and all I could think about was who I was gonna have next. My parents dying brought me out of that state. The real reason I had skipped out on the vacation was because a hot girl was coming over and I already had a plan together. I started acting normal after three months and found an amazing friend... Tyler. He helped me a lot. Everything seemed happy after I met him. Everything seemed better. " Josh finishes.
