10. The Hidden Depths Become Shallow

Trigon moved on to the sea. He was feeling very confident of his progress. He just conquered the Sun, Moon and the Underworld. Now he just needed to conquer the Sea, Sky and Tartarus. Plus once you conquer a god's territory they automatically serve you.

Trigon called on another goddess who was interested in him, the primordial goddess of the sea, Thalassa.

Since she's a sea goddess she could obscure them from Neptune's vision. Just like before as Trigon built his temporary camp, he summoned his allies.

He called on Ladon (hundred headed serpent), Sirens, Scylla (a sea monster), evil mermaids, evil Hippocampus, evil Cyclops and the monster Charybodis.

These were some of the most dangerous monsters in the sea. Charybodis was a living whirlpool. And Hippocampus and Mermaids were supposedly good but no one said that there weren't two sides to every being.

Most of all, when the people of Neptune's palace (or fish) saw them coming, their own kind, they will be disorientated. Too confused to fight their own. Like fighting against your own sister, afraid you'll hurt her. A perfect plan made by the evil Titan himself.

They attacked at what would've been dawn. The Cyclops were busy putting up defences and arming the armies. The armies were busy forming units and choosing areas to guard. As for Neptune and his generals, they were going through scenarios when Trigon will attack but unfortunately it was too late.

So the first line of Trigon's army emerged from the depths. This line was led by Thalassa with evil Cyclops and Mermaids. Neptune's forces were so surprised, their Cyclops didn't stand a chance. But as soon as some of their comrades fell, they overcame the surprise and charged at the Trigon's army, Mermaids against Mermaids. Cyclops against defences. Thalassa against Neptune.

Of course she wasn't as strong as Neptune but he was already wounded. See, Gods reflect their realms so if his realm is destroyed he fades. Seized to exist.

Trigon's army was already winning, so with another push and Neptune's forces fell. Trigon sent out Ladon, Sirens and Scylla. Eventually Neptune's forces were wiped out.

Trigon confronted Neptune with his two new archers, Diana and Apollo.

"You can have your realm!" His voice ricochet through thr depths. "Just swear your allegiance to me!"

He laughed as Neptune swore his allegiance and like the Underworld, the sea fell too.
