14.The Ancient Ways Forgotten

The world was at peace and the world continued as history foretold it. This, of course, meant the age of the gods became a distant memory. Disguised as myths as Constantine the great adopted Christianity. Empires past where gods were believed in but the gods were still alive especially with and their drama. Example of this was World War 1.

World War 1 was a global war centred in Europe. It began on 28 July 1914. The Olympians had had a lot of children. All except Exodus. Exodus had abandoned Trigon and taken on his Greek form permanently. He still didn’t have any children but those who pestered him made him regret his decision.

You see the whole reason for World War 1 was because of the gods. The Europeans were led by children of Hades, Poseidon, Hecate, Erebus, Hypnos, Nemesis, Apollo, Dionysus and Demeter. The United States were led by the children of Zeus, Ares, Athena, Hephaestus and Hermes.

You see the reason the gods were fighting was because Western Civilisation was moving. The war originally started when the decedents of Rome, Egypt and Greece started hating one another. Because they are children of the gods, they built the greatest empires all over the world but only one could be the greatest.So they decided to invade and this started the WW1.

The gods decided play a role in this war. They took one look at the world and chose their empires. This caused mayhem. The gods couldn’t decide. Hades/Pluto wanted to settle in the United Kingdom.  Zeus/Jupiter wanted to settle in United States. The Egyptians decided they’d settle all around the world. 

This led to the gods fighting as well as their children. Mass chaos covered the globe. Finally Exodus had enough. He called the gods back to Olympus and he gave them an ear full.

‘WHAT in the WORLD are you doing?’  Exodus paced the hall room.The other gods developed an interest in their feet, avoiding the glare of Exodus.

Finally Zeus walked up to the front and shouted. "I have decided that we will live in USA!"

Immediately the other gods started countering each other with reasons to live in Europe and USA.

Exodus relaxed in his throne. He couldn’t believe this was happening. His mind zipped back to the rebellion of the gods. Some of the gods decided that Zeus wasn’t good enough and tried to have a democracy. Unfortunately, Zeus fought back and gave them all special punishments.

But what Exodus was thinking is that those gods, the ones who were rebelled, were right.

"Silence! Sit down!" He shouted.

The gods all sat down in their thrones. They were all still moody but they knew better than to argue with Exodus.

"Alright. This is how it’s going to work. Hades and Poseidon want to live in Europe. Zeus wants to live in the United States. I have decided to live in the United States."

The gods rumbled. Hades and Poseidon started shouting while Zeus and his companions clapped each other on their backs.

" Silence! I have not chosen the United States because Zeus has chosen it. I have chosen it simply for what it has done. The United States are united and we can stand to learn something from your children. But that’s not all. From now on the gods will decide by a vote. No matter what I would say if the vote is against me then it will be carried. Agreed?"

Eight gods raised their hands including Exodus.

"The motion is carried. Let there be peace once more. "
